McDonald's — Restaurant in Gadsden

Last week I took my 9 year old granddaughter and her 3 cousins (ages 8, and 12 year old twins) here for lunch. The food was good. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. The 8 year old dropped her ice cream in the floor and a staff member cleaned it up and provided her another one free of cost. Great customer service!

However, when my granddaughter, who will only drink water, asked for a cup of water, she was told there was a charge. She came back and told me this and the staff member (a sweet young lady) came with her. I thought it was a joke at first. But it wasn't. Ok! How much for the water? A dime? Quarter? Or maybe fifty cents? No! It was $1.49! I said "You're kidding!" (Kind of chuckling). Oh no, she wasn't kidding. There was a gentleman on a laptop at a corner table. I'm assuming he was the manager. He proceeded to explain that they had a lot of theft of drinks. People saying they wanted water then getting soda. I can understand his reasoning (to a certain degree...but I asked about this policy at another McDonald's and they could t believe it). However, I had just put out quiet a bit of money purchasing 5 meals (for myself and 4 girls) so why would I steal a drink? I think he should allow his staff some discretion when it comes to this policy I had water in my car which I went and got for my granddaughter. The young lady who had told me the cost of the water apologized repeatedly. So while the food and service was good, I probably will not return to...

Worst Macdonald experience ever. I give them credit they were busy . It was 230 on sat afternoon. There was plenty of staff but it was very u. orginized. Did not get my order right. Did not have what i wanted. And was rude in the process. I have visited this McDonald's before at busy times. It was not stellar then. But today it was ridiculous. After a long wait wait my food was ordered and i was promptly told wr are out of 3 different things. How do ya sell anything if ya cant get it in stock. The bad part was ai ordered a gappy meal. Was asked what to drink. I stated milk. Told we dont have milk. There was a whole shelf of milk in the case on the counter. I wanted sauce with my nuggets and was told there aint none. I guess they dont keep none in stock cause the little container up front was empty. I ordered Tea and they were outa Tea. When i did get some tea it was old. Nasty. I know fast food is the name of the game. But there was nothin fast and the quality sucked . Even the food i did get that was right was very poorly made. These are the same folks who say they will have to go up on prices if they go up on minimum wage. It does not seem as though they train very well so it dont seem like they would stand to lose a lot of money. I know my money will go other places. What ever happened to service with a smile and a Thanks. Not how fast i can throw something at u to get u...

From my own personal experience at this McDonald's, I can say that. It's okay. I haven't had any problem so far. When ordering my food granted. I have never gone on the inside, so I can not tell you how the atmosphere is. I've only gone through the drive-through, which sometimes can be a bit tedious. Because some people really don't know how to use the drive-through.

I mean, for example, this woman who ordered her food in front of us sat in the line and let 2 cars go in front of her instead of just moving up after she ordered. So, of course. That's going to throw off the line when people show up to pick up their food. Because now she's two cars behind instead of being two cars in front.

But that was just A one time experience. But like I previously said, from my own personal experience, I haven't had any problems with this McDonald's when ordering my food...
