Kate’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Gaffney

I'm leaving this review with sadness. 1-5-24. My first visit and last. I ordered the two hotdogs special. Two hotdogs, chips and a 12 oz. can soda. 10.00. And a peanut butter brownie. Total 12.00. The brownie was about 1 1/2 inches square. Very small and smashed being wrapped in plastic wrap. My two hotdogs were terrible. Weiner was not steamed nor boiled. It was hot but firm and very salty. The "homemade" chili was probably from a can. It was a very sweet, tomato sauce type with a minuscule amount of ground beef. A heavy tomato ketchup, pasty taste. The buns were not steamed. I forced one down and left the second one. During this meal, the lady owner was talking to relatives. She was complaining to them about her overhead costs, the cost of food at Walmart that she orders delivered. The price of the cake mixes, meats, bread etc. and their slow delivery. A cake mix is not a homemade cake, cupcakes or otherwise and she advertises as a bakery and ice cream shop. Then she complained about her overhead costs along with her rent of $1000.00 a month, rude customers, customers who complained about the food, service and rudeness of her employees. That he wasn't expecting that criticism since moving down here. From where, she didn't say but since she was talking to relatives, I guess they knew. No one asked me if I needed anything, if I enjoyed my meal nor did anyone invite me back or wish me a good day. I will...

I usually feel welcome when visiting here, but not this visit. The blonde headed girl that took my order had a very nasty attitude and was not friendly at all🤨. She was snappy with anything I asked her. If it wasn't for my child being with me and wanting ice cream I would have said something to her🙄, but I kept my composure and took my order and left. I don't think I will visit this location anymore just cause of the service I got. It's a shame when you feel like you wasted your money, due to the lack of customer service...

Delicious & very fresh cupcakes. they have a good variety of flavors but would like to see a few more like maybe some dark chocolate varieties. haven't tried their food yet but I'm sure its great. For the most part, the staff seems to be friendly but some of them seem to be less knowledgable about the products in general. The place is very clean and very nicely decorated which is number one on my list for food establishments. Gaffney needs a lot more places that have good quality food/sweets so this is a...
