China Garden — Restaurant in Gainesville

NO. NOT GOOD. I just had a craving for Chinese food but this isn't what I expected. Had the beef-broccoli dinner with pork fried rice, egg roll. The meat wasn't anything I could identify, some sort of "brown", mostly gristle and fat. It wasn't good. The rice looked and tasted like it was either old or packaged. Nothing special. Egg roll was also tasteless, more than likely frozen and dropped to oil when ordered. Meat skewers were more gristle, no flavor, tough and chewy. BBQ ribs were also tough, not meaty. Flavor of sauce was bland and probably out of a jar. This is just a low grade really fast food of ethnic cuisine. Nothing was very good. Worst of all the place is absolutely filthy, dirty tables, windows and floors. I just won't go back. Not sure when this place last had a food inspection, how they managed to pass....

This was my first time trying this Chinese Restaurant. I had the 15 small fried shrimp they were cooked nice and crisp the way I like my food, but it lacked flavor it tasted like they forgot to season the shrimp. I also had the fried sugar donuts and they were good. The service was great. I ordered the food online it was an easy process and the food was ready when I got there and still fresh. The employee that waited on me was nice and friendly. However, I don't think I will be going back due to the horrible smell that hit me time I walked in the restaurant it smelled like something was dead in there. The floors are filthy. The windows are dirty. The walls are nasty, the small counter that you put your food in in a box to pass to you is nasty. The plexiglass is nasty. The door is hanging wide open constantly. This place is so disgusting. I wouldn’t even bring my puppy in here to eat it is filthy, they should be ashamed of their self. The way they keep this place I can only imagine what the back looks like and what kind of food they are serving from back there the front look like this I could imagine what the food area in the kitchen we can’t see it because they have the plastic glass up but it is so horrible.
