Like many recent springs in north central Florida this days temperature waited til after 5 thirty to fall below 90. Tom Petty Park was hosting practicing ball players,, moms in shade, kids not. Scarce in these parts are children who consider excess sunshine a detriment to outdoor activity. Few similarly minded dogs had coaxed, or begged or threatened their people to grab leash and go but some had succeeded. Read moreI went there with a friend for the dog park area we finally found it the park itself is beautiful they had a few workman there adding more dirt for walking areas the dog park area is fenced in but it had large dogs at the time and we had a very small chihuahua with us so we decided it wasn't a good idea but it looks great we had a good time and it's worth going to the dog park area and the park there is an area for children to play on swings and so forth your children and doggies...

Ball fields that have hosted softball,flag football,a visit from the King and his Court(a softball fast pitch 4 man team)",etc. Racquetball courts at one time and tennis courts.
