went through drive through to get food for my wife and myself (wife stayed home). ordered 2pc meal and requested mac and cheese. staff stated they thought they were out of mac and cheese but they found me one unit (no discussion of up-charge). inquired about the ghost chicken, ordered and requested a meal.(asked if they had enough mac and cheese for another order they said no). paid, did not get the ghost chicken. came back in to pay for ghost chicken sans the mash potatoes they gave me. 1)6:49 time on original receipt, final resolution at approximately 7:30 2) inside observed they had multiple stacks of mac and cheese they were giving out to customers 3)asked to speak with manager, but lady at front tried to resolve the issue herself. she tried to ring me up for the ghost chicken ($5.00 base price) and the till showed $10.74. I informed her something was wrong and she took my card from my hand and tapped it on the machine for the transaction. 4) several discussions with workers (she charged him fifty) (hes getting a sandwich)(we refunded your order for 1.94) until they finally allegedly they refunded my second bill and gave me a ghost fire chicken for free.
manager explained to all customers in attendance that a shift had called out and they had been there since the morning. Initial worker at the front tried to be helpful but understandably was frustrated at the end. I thanked her for trying but she would not look at me. Main concern is the time and execution of finding a resolution for me and other customers that needed manager assistance (one of three customers with wrong transactions/orders)(other was missing food and other had a online order). Read moreThere are no words that can convey how utility disgusted I am with this restaurant Every single time I am picking up here for GrubHub they make you wait – 20+ mins for an order that should be ready or almost ready on arrival. My last time picking up from this restaurant I waited 25 minutes and decided to ask what was going on Diners ETA passed as I still wait – I got a bunch of attitude which was uncalled for, a lot of people in the restaurant waiting, not just me. They have plenty of people walking around in the kitchen. I asked why do they take Grubhub orders If they cannot keep up with the drive thru? I was ignored. Still waiting and being told it’ll be ready when it’s ready, I snapped and suggested they stop taking grub hub orders if they can’t keep up. Immediately “You can’t wait for chicken?” I tried to explain that I was already past the diners ETA and that I did not apricate the attitude. The lady got in my face and told me that I should find something better to do with my time than delivering food if I have something better to be doing.
You will get no apology, a slow service, and a side of attitude if you dare ask “when will it be ready” this is not the service anyone deserves, especially when you’re losing money waiting for the order and keeping the end customer waiting. I will be taking this complaint to the management and GrubHub respectively.
The argument about choosing not to pick up from this restaurant should not exist, even though I marked that I do not pickup from this restaurant, a few weeks later, it starts up again. I do not wish to lose my rating for skipping and respectfully, no restaurant should be able to operate this way.

Read moreIf you want to go to Popeyes, I would suggest you go to the location near Walmart on 34th Street. It is the newest location in Gainesville and definitely better than the two locations in Gainesville. For several years we've only had the one location on main Street and it has gotten progressively work. Today we went there through the drive-thru. When we arrived there were two cars ahead of us and they were literally serving one car at a time, meaning they wouldn't take the order for the next car until the car at the pickup window had left. Therefore it was a good 20 minutes before we placed our order. Next they were out of most of the items on the board. They advertise a $6 shrimp meal take but every time I've been up there and tried to order it they said they were out of butterfly shrimp. They were also out of fish sandwiches and several other items. I ordered a two-piece white meat chicken meal, when I got home I had only received dark meat. It was not hot and it was lukewarm at best. The french fries were not hot either. So not sure why the dramatic hold up in the Drive-Thru. My companion order to the three piece tender meal, which at $11 for three tenders, a side, biscuit, and a drink, is about $4 more than you would pay at Zaxby's for virtually the same meal and I would rather have the Zaxby's. I have not had a bad experience with the new Popeyes location by Walmart on 34th Street so I will switch to going to that location instead, even though it is farther from my home, it is definitely a better experience.
