I am visually impaired (I have a prosthetic eye). I told the waitress that, and advised her I can't sit at a small table as I would likely knock things over, or onto the ground. At the time, I was the ONLY customer in the restaurant (11:30am). She was unwilling to give up a large (4-top) table for a single guest (NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in sight). I left without dining. The joke is on her. I probably tip more (and spend more) than most of the parties of four that she was saving the large tables for. Quite a shame, as it was my birthday, and I was "celebrating." UPDATE following Owners Reply: You clearly don't get it. Point one: I arrived before 11:30 and was the ONLY customer in your restaurant. Had I been promptly seated and served, I would have been LONG GONE by the time my table was needed. Point two: You basically said that you'd accommodate me in the summer when your not as busy, and need my business (NOT gonna happen), and it won't inconvenience you. You really need to have your lawyers update you on the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act...before someone sues you or has your business license revoked. You also would be well served to not reply to customer complaints/concerns by being defensive and making excuses, but rather by simply saying: "We seem to have dropped the ball in our goal of great customer service. I'll have a conversation with our staff to ensure that they understand how important it is to accommodate reasonable requests from all of our valued customers. Please come give us another try!" See how it works? Take ownership of the issue. Show that you'll endeavor to prevent a recurrence, and ask for a second chance. No free...
Read moreSecond trip to East End. Food and coffee is fairly good but service was mediocre at best. Our server looked completely exhausted so maybe that was it. We were seated at a 3 person table that sits against one of the large front windows...we had 4 people. Coincidentally enough a couple was sat at the 4 person table right next to us. Don't sit there if you can at all avoid it. At the right time there is a near unbearable glare off the car windows that makes it pretty uncomfortable. Our server said she didn't see our second child but also didn't offer us a larger table. We are not the type to complain and it would have either been to make the couple switch with us or go back to waiting for a table. We opted to deal.
I had issues with my Eggs Benedict that caused them to comp it and me to not be able to finish the other half. Freaking sucked.
One thing I really like is that they have a play area for children in a back area with table around it. If you have busy children you can imagine how valuable this is. They serve children's orders on kid friendly plates with kid friendly utensils, I can appreciate that.

Read moreThe good: -There was a well equiped children's play area (though a gate would have been nice, as I had to keep chasing my wandering toddler out of the kitchen!). -The food was tasty. -The atmosphere was charming.
The bad: -The waitress forgot one of our orders and that member of our party didn't receive her food until 5-10 minutes AFTER the rest of us were done eating. There was no compensation or even any real apology. -The portion sizes were very small. Everyone in my party is normal weight with an average appetite and we all left a little hungry. My 7 yr old ordered the children's pasta and received, no lie, about 1/3 cup of pasta--not enough to satisfy even my toddler. All the kids ate granola bars in the car after leaving the restaurant. -There were 6 ppl in my party and there were no tables large enough to accommodate our group. They weren't willing to push two tables together so we had to sit separately
I really wanted to like this little place. But, in the end, we just couldn't. We are not from the area, but would not be...
