I would rate this Waffle House location zero stars if I could. Went in the midst of tropical storm conditions only to see that there was no dine in option available, merely a to-go window open..... So in the rain and high gusting winds with two small children, I attempted to look over the menu. My babies were shivering in the rain without a proper awning so I ran them back to the vehicle to finish ordering our breakfast. After several hours of my husband and children driving in the storm we attempted dining in as it suggests is an option online only to be told to-go is the only available option. Then I am told only after inserting my debit card to pay, "oh yeah, there is a $20 to-go fee and no that's not the tip.".... Completely caught off guard by the whole ordeal and appalled non of that mark up service fee would go to the sèrver, I simply completed the transaction and tipped the cashier an additional $5 for putting together our to-go order. Upon getting back into my vehicle and searching the establishment on Google I see other complaints about the 20% additional mark up fee. However, it clearly stated in another review that 10% of said fee goes to the server who prepared your order and 10% to the business. Therefore, I was lied to and taken advantage of by the employee. Very dishonest establishment and mediocre food. Worst egg and cheese biscuits around; soggy and greasy. Could not even finish eating. So after spending 12 hours in the UF Shands NICU with my premature baby who's fighting for his life and walking three fourths a mile back to the Ronald McDonald House to meet my remaining family who's been traveling all night this is what we endure trying to finally eat a quick dinner after midnight. Will never return. Truly disheartening and extremely dissatisfied.

So I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday this year. I’m not normally known for diner food or chain restaurants. But I had an occasion to visit this location and see what the newer restaurant was like and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really friendly and polite. Quick with menus and coffee. The fast order cook was doing his thing and it was fun to hear them speak the orders in WH style. Smothered and covered is really a thing. I had the bacon and eggs over hash browns. Super yummy and the coffee is great. So don’t be afraid to eat outside your comfort zone occasionally. I’m glad I did and enjoyed meet a sweet lady on top of it all. Thank you to the staff. Have a Happy New Year 🎆

We finally have a Waffle House in the neighborhood! My son and I were so excited to have a good breakfast diner nearby. The place is brand new and exceptionally clean. Great service and tasty food! We both ordered a breakfast combo meal and commented that the waffles were great (eggs and sausage too). While I normally don’t like going to chain restaurants, this Waffle House will replace the dearly missed Daybreak Pleasant Street.

We arrived at 8pm because online it said it was open 24 hours. When we got there we were seated by a nice server. We were the only ones in the restaurants besides the 4 high school age looking staff. We simply sat, ordered, ate, and left quickly because it was very clear that we were not welcome. Apparently it closed at 8:50pm for dine in, and we were somehow supposed to know that. The staff made it clear they were not happy with us being there, despite us leaving by 8:30pm. As we were waiting for our food, we overhead them laughing and joking audibly about planning to lick our waffles (mind you, during a pandemic). Since we were the only ones there, it was very loud and very clear. We also overhead them constantly talking about why can't we just leave already because they want to go home. Again, all of this very loud and clear across the restaurant to each other. It was very unwelcoming and rude. Again, our server was very nice but the other 3 working there were rude enough to make us never visit this...

We came in at 2:30 pm, for every booth being dirty with two groups of people waiting on food and one group eating. The line cook had to come off of line to clean a booth for us so we could sit down. Keep in mind there were four people counting tips when we walked in and then three people were on the dishwasher. We didn’t get our order taken for over 25 minutes after I hailed a waitress. That order then didn’t get put in, and two groups of people walked in 5 minutes after we ordered. The line cook told another waitress in a pink camo visor to go take their orders and she was very sassy with him, and she took another tables order and immediately put it in and they had walked in two minutes prior. After 35 minutes of waiting we canceled our order since we hadn’t even gotten our waters yet and the original server snarkily said thank you for canceling. The line cook in the red hat was the only one who had...
