This place is one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. For the price, it is the best. The food is incredible - I have tried about half the menu and have yet to be dissappointed. The style is not like the often bland and Americanized Thai food one might be accustomed to, though having never been to Thailand I can't actually make claims about authenticity. The dishes do not shy away from spice, and as with any decent Thai restaurant if you want to make it spicier they will oblige you, and also will bring you a spice tray so you can spice to taste if you want. That said, there are less spicy options available. The lunch specials are a great deal (I love the soup they come with). The service is also great and incredibly friendly. On our most recent trip there was heavy rain and the staff offered to walk us to our car with their umbrella. I am traveling to the area for work and wish there was a place even half as good at home. I am not at all surprised to see that at the time of this writing they have a 4.7 star rating. It really...
Read moreThe reason most people go out to dine is having a good time and enjoy their dinner. Siriwan Thai got a 5 star from me the last few times we patronized them because of good food and good service. All these have changed and not for better. The food...the cashew chicken came without cashew, not 1 piece and was mainly made of too sweet dough with very little chicken in it, they brought us a bowl with cashew upon our insistence. the seafood soup was way too hot even though we asked them to make it non hot, the appetizer (fried calamari) was drenched in oil, un appetizing and consisted of mostly fried dough!! Service....almost non existent...asked for extra napkins three (3) times before we got, read this, two (2) "extra" napkins and this is for 4 people! All in all a very disappointing experience! I think that they got a different - and much worse - chef, or they simply don't care. So it looks like me and my friends lost one of our favorite Thai places, because, we are not going back to...
Read moreToday I ordered the Siriwan chicken dish. I figured it would be something different than what I usually get from Thai restaurants and I had my hopes up but I was severely disappointed. When I ordered the plate the sausage in the middle was completely frozen and uncooked. I had to send the plate back because it was inedible. When they brought it back out I could tell they just microwaved it because the chicken was extremely dry. Even after being served frozen sausage they still charged me the $23 for the dish. Not even a discount or anything. After, I got home I started to get stomach pains and I'm guessing it's because of the uncooked sausage that was stuffed in the chicken. I love Thai food and all the flavors it offers but this place is not Thai. I would not recommend this place and I will not be coming...
