The bar tender was rude and was less than truthful. I was told my order would be ready for pick-up at 8:06 for my order placed at 7:53. I would not leave this place with my family's food until 8:35 even though the bartender stated that my food was being boxed up at 8:10, it was not and the food would not be boxed up for another 20 minutes. This guy behind the bar acted as though I didn't matter. We waited for over 30 minutes over the time that they told us the to-go order would be ready for pick-up. Instead of apologizing like any human with some type of reasonable upbringing, he never said a word to me other than: 1) "Your order isn't ready" (when I initially arrived at the designated 8:06), and 2) "It"s being boxed up." There was no, "I apologize this is taking so long' or "I don't know why it's taking so long, let me go look and see what the hold-up is." He didn't care to even find out what was going on or let me know what the delay was with the food. At no point during this 30 minute ordeal did this guy even make an effort to let me know what was going on other than the 2 statements, outlined above. Not until I went to another waitress and asked for the manager did the food my family ordered get boxed and make it's way to me. The manager was very apologetic and said she would not charge for the meal, however, that is not the point. That does not make it better. The bartender lied to me and was incredibly rude and unhelpful. If he had simply been truthful and told me the food was not close to being ready, I would have been able to tell him not to worry about it, we would just go somewhere else. But no, he lied. I appreciate the manager finally getting my family's food, however, the damage has been done. I will never be back to this place. If the staff is allowed to behave in the same manner as the guy behind the bar, they in my opinion need an entirely new model created to train, monitor and supervise their employees. This is not only an individual employee being the problem, this is a systemic problem with not training employees how to properly interact with the customer. I have read a review already posted by another customer complaining of this exact issue. The response to that review from M.L Rose was that they apologize and would do better. I have to say, M.L. Rose, you have not done better. You have not changed nor corrected this problem from that original poor review left by another customer, at all, and now your lack of responsiveness and failure to retrain your employees has resulted in, yet, another dissatisfied customer and poor review. My guess is that this will not be your last poor review because you clearly fail to realize the problem or maybe you realize the problem and just do not care. Either way, it will not be a problem that I have to deal with in the future. By the way when the food did arrive, it was cold as though it had been sitting waiting to be boxed up for a very long time. I would not waste my time nor money at this place. Read moreBack again with an update. Two times in a row now my food has come out lukewarm. It was still really good but I'd rather have it hot. Servers are still great. I asked about upgrading my fries worth my meal to the cheese fries but they are unable to do that. Every other restaurant lets you pay a fee extra dollars for the upgrade. I really didn't see a reason why we couldn't.
Another update: I still love the food and the servers are great. My only complaint is that we brought our granddaughter and asked for a high chair. We were seated at a raised booth. The high chair was a taller one so that was fine but you couldn't push it close to the table because the.bottom hit the ledge under the table. She ended up being almost a foot away from the table. Not ideal with how a toddler eats. We asked for a different table which was lower but they don't have lower high chairs. No matter what type of table we would have been assigned the high chair would not have worked. We ended up getting a booster seat. I will say that the booster seat was nicer than others. It had rubber feet on the bottom and didn't move at all. Much better than other places where they tend to slide and flip easy. I'm not changing my rating because I still love this spot but wanted other people to be aware.
Update: we've been here a few times now and it hasn't been as loud. Again, I understand the atmosphere they are going for but when you need to repeat yourself and point to the menu sonyour waitress can hear you it's too loud. It's been much better. I also want to add that they have one of the best gluten free Hamburg rolls that I've had.
The food was really good. We got the monkey bread starter and burgers and everything was really good. Food was hot and the burgers juicy. My only complaint was that it was really noisy. I expect a place like to be noisier than some other restaurants but the tvs were blaring and everyone talking over them even louder. Despite that we will be back. Maybe we will sit outside next...
Read moreWe went to M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burgers - Gallatin last night and had such a great experience! Were they extremely busy because it’s Friday night on top of being a new location in an area that doesn’t have anything like it and everyone wants to try out? Yes. Did that ruin our experience? Absolutely not! On the way in to the restaurant they had a staff person letting everyone know the wait time to be seated as well as that the kitchen was backed up. That’s how you do it! Set expectations and let folks choose if they want to continue in and wait or not. Side note… We were seated and got our food faster than both timelines we were given, which was a pleasant surprise. While we waited for our table we were able to grab a drink at the bar pretty quickly then wait out in the turf area. Service was great. Everyone was really friendly and attentive and even though they were very busy, no one seemed frazzled that we interacted with. Our server was Allie and she was wonderful. We also interacted with Ashton a few times and she was great too! The food was delicious. We got the loaded queso appetizer, the jam burger, and Crunchwrap. Regular and sweet potato fries. I’d order it all again. We split everything. Overall just a really solid experience and we will be back very soon! So happy to have this option...
