Had a chance to check out the new Rock'n Dough in Gallatin for lunch Sunday during their soft opening. They're based in Memphis (4 locations) and have a location in Jackson, one near Skyline, and one at GEODIS. The Gallatin store opens to the public this Tuesday, 1/21 and is located on Nashville Pike in the same strip as M.L.Rose and Edley's.
I had my foodie ride-or-die with me and we shared the ZZ Tots appetizer (super delicious!) and we each had one of their 10" pizzas. I also had my first beer since before Christmas and I was very happy with my choice of their "Strong Silent Type" - a 9% abv Belgian Blonde. It was quite nice. They have several beers on tap and a full bar. Really decent whiskey list as well.
This location also has Duck Pin Bowling lanes! Our awesome server, Olivia, let us know that bowling is $20/hr and can accommodate 6-8 people. Just let your server know you want to play and they'll get you set up! We didn't play today, but those who were looked like they were having fun!
Every staff member we encountered was really awesome and the foh manager, Megan, stopped by a couple times to make sure everything was going okay. Can't wait to go back to try some more. Y'all go! 🍕🍺🎳...
Read moreWe were told a ten minute wait and after waiting fifteen minutes we were told another 10. We ended up waiting about 1/2 hour for a table even though many were empty. The servers were friendly but service was kind of slow. We ordered french fries to share. They were around $7 and the portion was tiny. The pizza wasn't bad but it wasn't good enough to make me want to go back. My husband liked the pizza better than I did. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't great. The line at the door was growing but hardly anyone was being seated. Two tables near us were never cleared off the entire time we were there. People seemed to enjoy bowling but if you were seated at one of the tables nearest to it the people bowling were constantly up against your table and in between your table and the one next to you. It was incredibly loud with kids throwing the bowling balls down the lane too but I guess that's to...
Read more. It was your first time there even told the server that. I was very surprised on the price of the game it was only 2 playing and it was 30 $. After finding out that price i change what i was ordering and had to adjust tip to what I had to spend. Again theres no sign on anything and the server told me a price after I had said this is our 1stvtime here. As a single mom. Thats very expensive to play for just my 7 year old and me helping him. The online pages and store menu dont say a price . And server never said a price so I thought it came with . once we had already started theres now way to say no because we had already started the game. . Just would of been better if I knew the price before starting game . Thank you. I did send email to company . Got a very generic response with it just saying the price and how many people can play and for an hour. Sorry but I will...
