Celina's Mulberry Market & Grille — Restaurant in Galloway Township

Stopped by to get a cookie and maybe a cup of coffee and was greeted by a rude "we are closed!" remark. Meanwhile a ton of people were still seated inside, eating and the door had a sign for the time of store closing indicating that they are still open. I understand it was 10 minutes before the listed closing time, but I was only visiting someone at the hospital nearby and wanted to grab a cup of coffee and a cookie from here - instead of starbucks due to good reviews. I even said that we just came in for a cookie. The cashier looked at another lady -perhaps the supervisor - then after what seemed to be an approval nod- proceeded with saying the register is closed. Right before finishing a transaction with a customer who was already inside. I was blown away by their blatant hypocrisy and terrible customer service. It was clear that the registers were not closed and the doors were not locked. Plenty people in the store that will keep them there for another 30 minutes. If they can't even honor the time placed on the decal on their door then why bother putting a time there at all? Especially if they want to be selective about who they let in. I had heard great things about this place, which was the reason for my visit but that whole incident and lack of professionalism made me literally never consider this establishment ever again. If they dont want my business, then I ll take it elsewhere. So rude and terrible that i no longer would care to go back even if it was the only cafe shop...

I’m very upset with the way we were just treated. I have been ordering from this place for years since I was in college. Even after moving away 45 minutes I try to order often. Today, I placed my order and excitedly ran to my car to find out it would not turn on. Not even 5 minutes after we placed the order my husband calls to try to stop them from making it since I don’t know when I can get my car to work again. The first person was nice but then hands the phone to a women who starts being really rude saying that it was made already (are they premade that they were done so quickly) my husband apologizes but we don’t live around the corner. She asked if we could pay for them over the phone, my husband again says we don’t have a way of getting there. She says, “well I don’t know what to tell you but don’t ever order from us again.” How rude and lack of empathy and customer service. I will make sure we never order from there or anyone we know as well! We would never purposely order from somewhere and making them loose product but having compassionate for an unfortunate event would go a long way...

PROS: We had breakfast. They know how to get the details right. I had Celine's Vegetable Omelet. Fresh veggies, cooked perfectly. The eggs are crepe style. They were thin, light and not overcooked. A perfect yellow without any brown or bits of other food mixed in. My wife had the Breakfast Quesadilla. Also perfect. Multigrain toast was good. Potatoes too. CONS: Coffee not good. I really really want to eat there, but it is not clean. We were the first people in the door when they opened. The mens bathroom had a 1/2 full large garbage can and the toilet was gross. In fact, EVERY surface in the bathroom was gross. The paper towel dispenser, toilet seat cover dispenser, faucet, sink, door, storage cabinets, etc. Maybe the toilet gets cleaned and garbage emptied once in a while, but the rest....no way. Also, the carpet was already dirty. If they are willing to let customers see this, I cant imagine how filthy the areas are that I couldn't see. Like the kitchen or storage. And how clean can the employees hands be after using the restroom?
