Concerns are with Stephanie the manager! We have been here several times and it's always been great. First let me start that we were at the restaurant at 4.08 pm and attempted to make a reservation and was told reservations can be made starting at 4.15pm. This was great because we only had to wait a couple of minuets and make our reservation and would be called when our table was ready. My son in law was one of the first couple of people on line and put Lauren, his wife's name, and was told between one and two hours, but was also told closer to one hour but wanted to give a window. At 6pm we revisited the restaurant and asked and was told by several girls that our table is next as they showed us the list with all names that were scratched out and just waiting for a table of 6 to finish. At 6.30 while waiting by the desk we noticed a round table of 6 getting up and after the table was clear and reset, we told the young lady behind the desk that our table was clear. At this time we were told that that table is for someone else and they were still waiting for a table for us 30 minutes after being told we were next. So when I questioned these young girls behind the desk they asked if I would be willing to speak with a manager in which I replied please, thinking I would be assisted by an adult who would help us resolve our concerns. Stephanie the manager arrived and asked my concerns in which I explained them to her. She then replied to me without ever looking at the sheet with the guests names and told us that there was a table ahead of us. I then explained to her what we were told and showed the list by her staff at 6pm.. And when I asked her to look at the sheet she accused me of yelling and continued that we could leave if we wanted to!!! In the interim of this a gentleman on the same line that my son in law was on when making the reservation who was standing two behind him had just exited the restaurant after finishing dinner with his table of 6. Stephanie would have appeased me at least by looking at the list and making an attempt to rectify my concerns. So we waited till 7pm almost 3 hours after making the reservation and was seated. As far as the restaurant was concerned the atmosphere, food and service was great. I hope the restaurant would at least have a serious conversation with Stephanie as she was more eager to defend herself and her staff as opposed to investigating and properly resolving a...
Read moreWe split the Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer. It was very good.
The entrees came out less than 5 minutes later. We hadn't come close to finishing the app.
She had the pulled pork sandwich. She gets these frequently at many restaurants and she thought that it was too sweet and not to her liking. Very unusual for her not to finish a sandwich.
I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I did not taste any spice on it and the patty was lukewarm at best. It seemed to be premade and not freshly fried. It was barely lukewarm inside. The cole slaw served on it was overdressed and dripped all over, making it a mess to pickup and eat. I didn't care for the taste of the slaw but that is what you get, it's a matter of personal preference. No excuse for the chicken at all.
We ordered key lime pie for dessert and it took 10 minutes to be served. We had our appetizer and entrees in less than 10 minutes so go figure.
Our server was pleasant and accommodating, no complaints there.
Perhaps other entrees would have been excellent, I can only report on what we had. If you go, skip the pork and chicken sandwiches and try your luck with something else.
Most disappointing to me was the chicken. It could not have been fresh out of the fryer due to the lukewarm temperature and how quickly it was served. The lack of spice or heat options like you find at other places should have...
Read moreWe chose Fred and Ethel's for both our Rehearsal Party and After Party, and I cannot speak highly enough about their service, professionalism, and overall experience—they were outstanding. Brigit was a joy to work with throughout the entire process. She was always available by phone or email, answering questions and ensuring my vision was brought to life. We were able to arrive an hour early for the Rehearsal Party to set up table decor and other decorations. We opted for a sit-down dinner with an open bar, and Brigit graciously included a complimentary cheese and cracker tray. What a surprise! The bartender and servers were exceptional, and the food was delicious. For the After Party, Fred and Ethel's delivered again with great food and excellent service. Some of our guests, who had rooms in the village for the weekend, returned to the restaurant before leaving on Monday morning just because they enjoyed it so much. My only suggestion is that if you're hosting an event in the backroom, consider bringing a Bluetooth speaker or hiring a DJ, as the room only plays the restaurant's background music. It’s hard to hear, and the type of music playing may not suit the type of gathering your hosting. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back for...
