Casey's — Restaurant in Garden City

First experience with our local Casey’s was a great one. As it being their first day open, my mom bought a pizza and sodas. The pizza was delicious. Then our second time was not so good. AT ALL. Well except that the Marlboros were cheaper here then my regular store. But our pizza which was called in ahead of time wasn’t even cooked properly. We ALL GOT SICK! Then a few days later we went in and they had the store a mess and new hours 5am to 5 pm. Tonight we stopped by and my mom tried to get a fountain drink and the machine isn’t working. Asks an employee and they respond “we shut the machine off for the night because we’re about to close” it’s 11:30pm they close at midnight! They needed to shut them off for cleaning. The nozzles and everything are still on the fountain and they’re just standing around talking when we pulled up. The man and the woman looked absolutely irritated to have a customer pulling up! SMH! It ain’t nothing to turn the key on the soda machine to dispense a drink. I know the exact amount of effort needed to flip the key! NONE WHATSOEVER! will be complaining tomorrow to a different manager. This one said he traveled from dodge and has an hour and a half drive back home. Lol dodge isn’t that far from here! Need better...

Was super happy to have a Casey's in GC but this is the worst Casey's I've been to anywhere. Could have been a gold mine but they were not prepared to open. Food is either not there or inedible.

The staffing problem is 100% their own fault - they aren't replying to applicants and they weren't doing anything while the store was being built to get the location staffed.

I've been three times and each trip was a waste of time. They also put it in the old bad part of town, so it's a drive for locals to get to, and it's not in a place out of towners would ever go. Being out of the way and poor quality, I have no reason to ever go back.

Really this Casey's is just a string of super strange decisions from somebody sitting in a cubicle at Casey's HQ who's never been to southwest Kansas.

Edit 5/28: I've been back twice since my original review. First time I went was at 8:55 am. Two totally empty pizza stands. Three employees standing around doing nothing.

Second time I went back was this morning, also just before 9. Had pizza in the case but not on slabs. Not sure what I was supposed to do with a slice, eat it in the store right out of the case and then pay before I leave? I mean honestly for a convenience store there's absolutely nothing...

UPDATE: Online ordering now up and running, there may be only one pizza maker back there but he has done 1000 times better than we encountered our first visit. Have been back for pizza twice since, the BBQ brisket was awesome, and by the slice pepperoni was great too. Will for sure be return customers if they keep this up!

Former Review...I have been able to go once out of 3 attempts. Thier online ordering hasn't worked since I believe 5 minutes of day one. Thier hours are unreliable, and the pizza makers were rude and unhelpful. Until they make some changes, and online ordering is available, we won't...
