So-Cal Burgers, Wraps & Frozen Yogurt — Restaurant in Garden City

Where do I start? I placed an order online for pick up (wrap with Cajun fries and a large waffle fry) arrived early and was told my order wasn’t ready even though I put it in 45 minutes before arriving (arrived to so cal and only 1 couple was sitting at a table). I was told by the cashier that they couldn’t start my order until 8:59 even though I showed my order &order time which was at 8:30ish.. (my pick up time was for 9pm/9:10. Mind you ONLY 1 couple was there). I didn’t mind waiting and a few minutes go by the cashier hands me my drink and I’m still waiting on the food…a few more minutes go by and the cook calls out a name which I assumed was mine (I couldn’t hear because of the loud music playing). The cook hands me the food without checking to make sure I was the customer he called for and said have a great night. I got all the way home and noticed he handed me the wrong order (wings and large waffle fries). I called so-cal (the girl answered but didn’t say hello or anything) I told her I had the wrong order and she had to ask someone what to do but then puts the cook on the phone…I told him the issue and he yells out (YOU TOOK THE BAG!!! I CALLED OUT FOR TIARA!!! I said I thought you said Sabrina he yells THATS RIDICULOUS THAT DOESNT EVEN SOUND ALIKE!!! I said in a normal tone well I couldn’t hear you & do you want me to bring it back? And he said yes I have your order here.) I go allllll the way back.. I grab my order doubled checked the bag (I thought they messed the order up again but they didn’t) left and got back home and as I was eating half of the wrap I notice my chicken was undercooked. Also the fries were super soggy. I won’t be returning to this establishment. This was my 4th time there and my 2nd time dealing with rude customer service with the staff. The price is way too high to received rude customer service and half cook food. Now I feel sick literally. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Save your hard earned money.

To the staff: please work on your customer service/professionalism skills and the way you talk to customers.

To the cooks: practice food safety and make sure you cook food to where it is safe to consume. (I just read some reviews where customers talked about you guys are touching your face, clothing, phones, etc) THATS A BIG NO NO! That’s how you cross contaminate customers food. Now I’m even more disgusted.

And to the guy that yelled at me over the phone: maybe you should yell that loud when calling out the customers name at the restaurant so we can hear you clearly. AND TURN DOWN THE DAMN MUSIC! It’s not a night club!

Just ordered for the first time. We were super excited to find a local place (besides pizza) that delivers. 5 stars all the way through. Customer service was great, delivery was quick and our burgers are great! Great flavor, and fresh hot fries! Cajun fries are awesome. I keeping stealing them from the hubs lol. I'll order my own next time.😜 We will definitely be back!

Update: this is probably the 4th and last time we will order from them. First time was good. Every time after has been mediocre to bad. Steak sub was awful, meat is super grissley, my sons chicken tenders have been so over cooked they were inedible. Often the food is left under heat lamps long enough for it to melt the styrofoam container. Tonight we ordered 2 burgers, cheese sticks and a kids tenders and fries. My husband ordered no cheese I ordered no tomato. They gave me no chz and put chz on my husbands burger. The fries were cold and old. The cheese sticks were like rubber. Bummed. Had high hopes for this place but they are slacking whether it be short or lazy staff or inconsistent cooks in the kitchen. Either way. You've lost our business. I can get equivalent at...

Today was my first time getting food from here. I got the So Cal Salad...OH MY GOODNESS, this was THE best salad I have had in my lifetime. I LOVE salads, and I was perturbed when I called to order off their online menu - asking for the Greek salad, and they told me they no longer serve/make the Greek salad. I had to rethink my order...so I went with the SoCal salad (because I figured there would be low change that they would discontinue that). The greens were so clean and fresh - no chemical smell or signs of sitting around. The berries were fresh and beautiful, the dressing was OUT OF THIS WORLD, so good. The grilled chicken was hot and fresh - and served on the side, and the flavors of everything just went together so well. I feel like there was serious thought into everything about this salad...the presentation, the flavors, the separation of hot from cold so the lettuce wouldn't wilt, and the freshness of it all. I want this salad EVERY DAY. I will be back. I will be trying ALL of their salads!!! So happy to find a truly GOOD restaurant in Garden City. Happy to support THIS local business. Hoping it is always...
