I have been going to Villa for over 35 years enjoying their pizza rolls. I don’t visit as often as I used to as the quality I feel has gone down, but the price has gone up as the last time I bought a pizza bread it wasn’t fresh. It was old and when I posted about it on their Facebook page, the person that runs the page took it down because it wasn’t positive. It’s my understanding that if you put negative reviews on their Facebook page, whoever runs it will take it down. I got a pizza bread today and the price is obviously more than they used to be, but they’re smaller now less filled. They used to not be able to fully fit in a single box now there’s still room and the filling has started to disappear, like how it used to be. It’s definitely disappointing that the cost keep going up and I understand there is inflation, but The size now is smaller and the fillings are less, but you’re paying more. I really think they’re overrated anymore as the quality has definitely gone down over the Last few years. I’ve never seen a dollar off of pizza bread. They used to have lines out the door and it’s not that case anymore. It’s time to find a bakery for a pizza roll. Villa is just not in anymore, and I hate to say that after being such a fan for so many decades. And also, they really need to figure out the cashier issue to have 10 people waiting for one cashier put somebody else over there to help her such a horrible system in place! Three people working behind the counter for desserts and pizza bread and one cashier take one of those those people out of that position and put them as a cashier when you see that more than 10 people are piled up waiting...

Recently drove 3 hours just to get our Vila goodies. Husband grew up in Garden City and was recently telling me about this little place. This was our third trip. First trip was amazing. Yummy treats, delicious food. Second trip terrible. Most recent trip was the worst. We drive 3 hours from Ohio. The service is terrible. Last time we went I was spoken to like some idiot because I didn't want a whole pound of cookies. I only wanted a few bucks of each kind. I was craving the nostalgia of the Italian cookies I grew up on as a kid. The trip we made yesterday was it for us. We will never go back. We were the only ones there when we arrived yet we were rushed as if we were inconveniencing them. We loaded our cart with about $200 worth of items to take back home. By the time we checked out there were more customers. As we were being cashed out the lady loudly called for help because "these people have a large order and it's holding my line up" Not once...but twice. Do better Vila. Your food is yummy but your manners and service towards someone who drove 3 hours and spent $200 was rediculous. We will not return. You don't respond to messages and clearly don't care which is sad because three trips in only a few months for us just to be treated like crap is...

I purchased cookies that were 2 different flavors - a raspberry and also apricot swished shape for my daughter 3 days before Christmas to give to her. Upon her coming over to surprise her with the cookies, they were all molded with gross like hair on top of them!!! I came to return the cookies and the expiration date was still a week away…!! I was told the cookies were from another place brought in - from another place - outsourced; I was refunded my money but at the very least I would of expected some what of a discount - -!off a donut etc… I had to travel back to the establishment, my time, waiting… at LEAST they could do but nothing. I was refunded and quietly walked away. Sooo this past Saturday I went to give them another chance and bought the sorta star shaped cookies with little chocolate chips on top of them, I believe maybe 10 if that cookies in the plastic container. Well they were ALL stale as could be!!! Total cost approximately $7.00 I will never ever go back to this so-called Italian bakery when as a child I grew up on the Original Tringalis Bakery in Warren, many many years ago - my grandfather came here from Italy. It was great memories but so not from...

The best pizza rolls in all of Garden City, bar none! They were voted #1 bakery in the metro area for 2024 ! The rolls are fat, doughy and have plenty of sauce, pepperoni and cheese inside. They also have other varieties, but I have honestly never tried any of those. All of my friends from outside the USA who come for a visit always ask how late Villa Bakery is open. The memory of the pizza rolls stays with them. Villa has all of the usual bakery cookies and snacks, but make sure you try the Angel Wings. They appear thicker than you are probably used to, but they are a very light and flaky. All the "regular" Italian and Rye breads are much better than Panera or someplace like that. You can get nut-free Cannolis made, that are safe to send to school with the kids. Highly recommended.

My friend and I took a road trip to Villa and were so glad we visited this amazing bakery! The cases and shelves on every wall were stocked with the best looking goodies, starting with their BUMPITY CAKE! Absolutely delicious and puts Sanders to shame. Also LOVED the bumpity donut and the cannoli with almonds is definitely ranking as one of my top (I’m picky)! The shell was perfectly crisp and the ricotta filling was the perfect amount of sweetness! The employees were all very sweet, and even allowed me to run back and grab some of their homemade sauce (I should not have second-guessed the walk-by because it was delicious!) even though they were busy. The environment is welcoming and their employees work incredibly hard to make their system efficient. I will be back soon!
