Was excited to try but a big disappointment for me. I ordered two #2 tri color and one #7 corn pandan.
The girl charged only two and forgot the third. Had to run my card twice. For $7 a cup plus tax and tip, it’s quite small. The cups are a bit fatter but short and full of ice.
I took a photo of the #2 and #7. The yellow in the photo popped out and I’m excited to try my “corn” and pandan. When I got home, they all slightly melted and I couldn’t tell them apart. I would recommend that the shop place tags on the cup so we know which is which.
When I finally took a bite, what I thought was “corn” was mung bean. Taking a closer look, I don’t think I got #7 corn pandan but I got #1. It had a bunch of other stuff like white and green jelly, red chestnut that I’m not a fan of. It had mostly green jelly in the shape of the green pandan. Didn’t appreciate that because I felt tricked.
The menu also seem to rotate. I came in thinking I wanted avocado based on previous reviews but that was no longer on the menu, seems like it got replaced by the corn pandan.
There are so many chè places that I would not go back due to my experience. The parking lot is also not the best when you have a few restaurants open late nearby.
One positive note is that the chè wasn’t...

Read moreMy friends and I were driving down Garden Grove Blvd. and noticed a new dessert shop so we had to stop by!
My friend ordered #3 (Che Thai, $7) and I ordered #1 (Che Dac Biet, $7). Both desserts tasted really good - not too sweet, had lots of toppings, and were very refreshing. I personally loooove durian ice cream so having it as a topping for my Che Dac Biet was perfection.
The store itself was clean, spacious, and has multiple tables and outlets for work/ study. The staff was also very friendly and helpful (explained the menu, offered the option to adjust sweetness, etc.)
TL;DR: A new Vietnamese dessert shop in Garden Grove serving up yummy desserts and tea at an affordable price with good service and a nice location. I would recommend and will come back to...
