Let me just say that I have always had a great experience visiting previously and I was so looking forward to tonight's meal since I haven't had it in such a long while. Tonight we had out of town guests visiting from Asia. At the end of dinner I always look forward to the kimchi fried rice however when the server came up to our pot she said that we didn't have enough soup to make the rice. I asked her how much she can make and she said 2 or 3 servings which is enough for us but while she was stirring the pot she asked if we can pour our used soup from our individual bowls back into the pot. WHY POUR OLD USED INDIVIDUAL SOUP INTO COMMUNITY POT???!!! This left a really bad perception on our guests. I felt really horrible considering I had pick the place and it was suppose to be a special dinner. We dropped $160 on the dinner which included the already added 15% tip they tacked on the bill themselves. I feel if we ordered fried rice and there wasn't sufficient soup they should have brought more out from the kitchen. What was suppose to be a special dinner just killed everyone's buzz. I feel horrible for my out of town guests....imagine what they think of Americans??!! I have to concur with other Yelp reviews regarding preferential treatment if you are Korean. Needless to say I will not be back EVER! I'm sure there are plenty of other great spicy beef casserole restaurants...

Okay, we just finished our food and to be honest cannot even swallow anymore since the waiter ladies one tall and another lady wears glasses were so bully, and rude to us. We all are wearing our soccer uniform when we came in. They have the camera :). They know we are student, so we ordered a small side hot pot with 6 people, the lady was getting mad at us “huh???? SMALL???!!” We was like “whatttt?” From that momment, she was bullying and rude to us so bad and ignored most of our request and blaming us for eating MEDIUM side as a student with NOT MUCH MONEY THAT EARN AND BARELY BE BE ABLE TO SAVE. With six, we do not even be able to finish the whole pot.
After finished, she kept checking the hot pot to see how much we ate, and I do believe that we not even in there 30 minutes last. And ready standing at the door to wait for us.
We were so scared when the ladies treated us like we are some homeless come to eat the food.
It seems like most of the bad reviews are real, they even chased us for the tip and yes we tip 18% under the law.

The food is already over $100+, and I tipped about 10%ish ($13). I know it is not much, but I do tip. I work with many customers daily, and I don't get tips.
I don't think tips should be based on the percentage of the food price. That's ridiculous. All the services that staff provided were the same for all food prices.
But when an employee there asked for more tips because I didn't give enough, it made me not wanna come back. It is very unprofessional to ask for tips. It is a reason why only two stars - unbelievable that worker looks at the amount of tips. If not enough, they will ask for more.
Also, tips should be...
