There's no doubt that Lynn & and her wonderful team at The Chocolate Shoppe are the happiest of chocolatiers around and they're spreading their joy and passion through smiles, and of course, delicious and beautiful confections.
What started as a wholesale business dating to 1994 turned into a retail shop in Gardnerville that would shortly turn into a pillar of the community of Gardnerville that locals knew they could depend on to get phenomenal service and delicious treats.
Whether a regular or a new customer, The Chocolate Shoppe will treat you the same, eager to serve you with smiles and assistance in helping you find the perfect treat to brighten up your day.
The Chocolate Shoppe caters to every occasion, working with their customers to customize the perfect gifts, be it special photos printed on yummy cookies or themed and well-thought out selections made into beautiful baskets.
Whatever idea you have, they will try their best to make it come to life since they make everything in house and have that flexibility.
The grounds of the shop go into full swing when the holidays arrive throughout the year, with holiday-themed treats out the door. Whatever the holiday, The Chocolate Shoppe works throughout the year in customizing treats, making them fun and festive for all to enjoy.
If awards were being given out for the most outgoing, most festive, most passionate, top tastiest, and best all-around chocolate shop, I would give all of them to The Chocolate Shoppe, located in Gardnerville, NV.
I am truly honored to have met such passionate owners and workers that run the Choclate Shoppe.
Reasons Why I Love the Chocolate Shoppe -Passionate owners and workers make the best chocolates -No one does holidays treats like them -They have a motto that everything has to taste as good as it looks (they hit the nail on the head with this motto) -Ashley's Bordeoux is enough reason to order online or visit their shop -They welcome and are happy to do custom orders -Their staff sings while they work -No refined sugars and artificial ingredients -They do custom baskets for every occasion -They print images on cookies and other treats like rice krispies -They ship chocolates in USA and Canada for convenience -They're on route to California on the 395 (you pass Gardenville from Reno when traveling to San Deigo and the like) -It smells divine inside -Their Roka will put the pink container Almond Roca from childhood to shame -The drive to Gardnerville is beautiful -Anything from their shop makes for a perfect gift -Confections made in small batches, homemade,...
Read moreI'm originally from Belgium and have lived in the U.S. for 14 years. I have been in search of good candy and chocolates since I left my country. America has a lot of great things to offer, however good quality chocolates are hard to come by. Especially to satisfy a Belgian foodie who knows his Belgian chocolates like myself.
As I drove from L.A. onto Nevada, I saw the billboard and was immediately intrigued. When I walked into the store, my inner child immediately came out.
The candy beautifully wrapped and laid out over tables, the free samples, and the warm friendly greetings made me so excited! I ended up spending twice as much as I thought I would and do not regret it one bit.
They have amazing sea salt truffles, milk chocolate covered marzipan, and Bordeoux pralines. I also tried their moonshine truffle which made me melt entirely. Oh my lord!
The people working there are so friendly and passionate about their craft. They were more than happy to explain which ingredients they used and why, and how they make them. I'm a total chocolate geek and this was the first time someone was able to speak at the same level including the chemistry, the art, and the refined craft of making chocolates!
Another nice thing they do is have these little cold pouches that are double wrapped and keep your chocolates at perfect temperature so they don't melt. Just don't leave them in your car in the sun.
I will definitely be coming back soon even though I live...
Read moreThe first time I tried their chocolate I was intrigued. I had been on a See's kick and as fellow chocolate addicts know, each brand of chocolate has it's own unique flavor profile. Their chocolate tastes very pure on first taste. It doesn't taste processed or like there is a bunch of extra sugar. So, I finally get to go to the store and see it in person and it was very cute. Everyone was so friendly and they were constantly offering samples. They also brought me a sample out specifically that didn't have nuts since that isn't my thing. Just went above and beyond in the store. Next, upon checking out, you can start a rewards thing and get discounts as your points add up. This is a major plus because as mentioned earlier, I have a chocolate problem. Now, I email Lynn whenever I want to place an order since I'm not local and I get a mystery box of chocolate that fits my specific order. It's like Christmas when the box arrives. The chocolate is so good. I can't eat other brands anymore because they just taste over processed. Lynn is so friendly and helpful and I could not recommend this shop and their chocolate more. I am a...
