Aint No Mo Butter Cakes Cafe — Restaurant in Garland

Sooooo delicious! I cannot believe I am just now finding out about this goodness! And to think I am always in the area on Saturday’s because I go to the bbq spot pretty much right next to them and never saw this food truck before. I randomly had a taste for a slice of sock it to me cake and decided to google places in dallas that have good cakes. This place came up and I drove out of my way to try them out and so glad I did. The fried chicken wings are soooo good and no words for how good the sock it to me cake was. The reason I took off a star is because it’s a little over priced (but worth it) but mainly because I went the next day and took a friend to try it out but unfortunately the food wasn’t nearby as good as the day before nor was the drink which went from delicious the first day to absolutely gross the very next day. I will definitely be going back tho I am hoping the inconsistency was just do to them being sooo busy that next day and not able to put as much tlc into it like the day prior to that. The food was overpriced frozen food. I ordered fries and the portion was small like value fries and from a bag. I also, ordered the rice dish. It was rather pricey. You're better off spending a dollar or two on fries if they are going to be frozen. Since the owner responded I would like to add her husband was aggressive with me when she (cook/owner) made a mistake after I told her I didn't eat meat and wanted her beans and rice that she said was on the menu. My partner was there and heard me ask several times if it had meat in the dish. She said no multiple times. I make sure because I was accidentally served meat before. She got upset when I asked for the right dish. She said "oh, we don't have that dish you're talking about Popeyes." I then asked for a refund and she didn't apologize for lying. Then her husband said "next time make sure you know what you're ordering." Then handed me the money and rolled his eyes. I sent the owner a message on the morning of 8/16 asking where is he located. He responded back quite fast. I see why no one who tried and bragged about the place would give me an answer of where exactly I could find this place because they are so nice and sweet. The food is amazing and delicious. This place is a hidden gem. His food is fresh and good! If you eat collard greens please get a bowl of his. They are so so good! I’ll definitely be back. I got 2 fish plates and a wing plate.
