Taco Cabana — Restaurant in Dallas

This place was an utter disaster! I waited an INSANE amount of time in the drive through only to have items left out... it was a ridiculous amount of time- but being trapped, what could I do. I only ordered 2 bean & cheese breakfast tacos, a regular queso & chips, & a beverage. They left out the chips (my fault for driving away without checking I guess) but I was now running behind schedule due to the extended wait time! But I pulled over a few blocks down the street and realised so I drove back- even being late for my destination- CAUSE HOW THE HELL DO YOU EAT QUESO WITHOUT CHIPS??? There was NO WAY I was going to wait in that drive through again, so I grabbed my stuff and headed inside... HOLYYYSHITTT... it looked like a tornado had hit!!! FOOD EVERYWHERE!!! These poor employees were fighting for their lives for these hangry folks lined up in every nook of the building. I waited at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged me in ANY WAY. The kind drive through worker came to my aid and fetched my chips- BUT I made the mistake of asking for salsa. He pointed over to the salsa bar, which I think is a great idea- IF THERE HAD BEEN ANYTHING THERE! The entire stand was empty- except for the spillage from what looked like the rest of the tornado aftermath. So I left without salsa... MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE FIRED TO LET THIS KIND OF NEGLECT TO CARRY ON & YOU'RE DAMN LUCKY YOUR STAFF DIDN'T WALK OUT ON YOU (assuming they didn't later in the day!!!) No-one deserves to work in conditions like that! CORPORATE OFFICE SHOULD BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY ON THEIR BEHALF! Shame on you Taco Cabana! Your food is mighty tasty and it was a welcome change after relocating from the land of ONLY Taco Bell as an option for fast Mexican. LADIES BEWARE I hope this makes sense. Overall the service I had was friendly & helpful - but this location is not safe. It was around 7-8pm maybe? I ordered my food then asked where the restrooms were. The men’s room was wide open & empty, but the ladies room was locked, so I asked for help. A worker kindly unlocked the restroom then hesitated, because a man was behind the stall, holding the door shut. He came out a moment later. I was confused why he was in there, but assumed maybe he was on his break, although it didn’t look like he worked there. The worker didn’t seemed alarmed by him, so I thought they knew each other. The worker offered to clean the men’s room for me & a few moments later the other man gestured to the men’s room. So I followed him over, assuming it was ready. Instead he was inside the restroom waiting for me to join him?? I said no, turned around and got out of there. He was holding something glass in his hand- it looked like it could be a crack pipe. The worker then exited the ladies room which he’d been cleaning instead, so I went in there to gain my composure. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire time & can’t think of any good explanation for what happened there. Nothing happened, so I didn’t file a report, but I was scared & sketched out by the whole experience. For your safety, use the drive thru or a different location altogether. I drive out of my way when I visit them but for what? I don't understand me sometimes! EVERYTIME I visit I sit in the drivethru FOREVER and on many, MANY occasions they've made me severely late for work even when I give myself LOTS of extra time because I now know how they are there! I'm usually told they are out of something I want, usually its guacamole! The floor is always dirty and no one picks up what they drop they just carry on and step on it. The last time my order was wrong I went on the inside to have the mistake corrected and I was given evil eye stares that made me VERY uncomfortable and almost afraid to eat my food. When they get it right it's really good food but they never seem to be able to make the simplist of orders correctly. This morning I decided to give them a try after some major time went by and placed a simple order and what? WRONG AGAIN! I got a simple steak quesadilla, crispy beef taco, extra guacamole & sour cream and diet Dr Pepper and I specifically asked for the red salsa and the jalapeño ranch dressing. So I got my Dr Pepper not hard to mess up I suppose, the steak quesadilla, sour cream & guacamole however the crispy beef taco shell was as stale as it could be and made the taco awful and I got NO salsas whatsoever and this was my easy order.
