Okay what is this place even? The outside vibe is so run down and weird it gives you the feeling you could get kidnapped just walking to the car. But given the general vibe of the surrounding area maybe its just that part of garland. However if i hadnt gone there for a customer, this is a place i never ever would have stopped at of my own willingness. I love a good hole in the wall, but this place feels like its a bad safety review away from being condemned. Ignore the drive thru, i went in, paid for an order, waited a little bit, got my food, and walked out during the time a truck sat there waiting and since i never saw him get his food i can only assume he got fed up and left even though they had more than enough time to take care of his order because they were totally dead inside. As for the inside its a little nicer inside but its still vibes of one of those cheap gas station interiors in the dining area. But it wasnt horrible and at least looked okay clean. However the bathrooms are super weird. I went into one and its a weird two room setup and i kid you not there was a tombstone with 'you' written on it that honestly i could really feel to my bones given the way the place was. Made more so by their sushi bar, in a chinese place. Ive eaten sushi all over the dfw metroplex and all over the states even. And honestly their sushi bar makes me uncomfortable enough id never order there for fear of that tombstone on the door becoming prophetic. It just didnt seem up to standard at all, and sushi is one of those things you really need to be up to standard. The lady at the counter seemed nice but i cant fathom why she couldnt take care of the window guy or even tell him to park and come inside. Listen, i applaud chinese fast food ideas. I love chinese. But this is definitely not a good example and wasnt...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since this place opened. I used to live right down the street. I remember when the box of beef lo mein was $6 (years ago before inflation and COVID). Even with inflation and COVID increasing prices of everything, they have remained fair in price, especially compared to most Chinese take out joints. You can still get a FULL to-go box of food for fairly cheap or even a basic California Roll for a great price.
Don’t come here expecting gourmet, this is true American Chinese takeout. They can have good and bad days, but mostly good. It’s not very often I’m not satisfied with what I order. My go to is typically the beef lo mein and/or California roll. 9/10 my meal is really good, flavorful and I get pretty full with left overs to have later. Also, they serve Kimlan soy sauce which is pretty legit, not the Panda one that’s mostly water.
If you want a quick, Chinese take out meal this is the...
Read moreThis place is amazing! The food is cheap and the portions are great. $5 can get a box stuffed with your entree of choice, and fried rice or lo mein at a small upcharge. Their sushi is very cheap as well. There is a drive thru that I've never tried, but I'm sure it is a convenience for those who do use it! -- this review is from 7 years ago
7/31/2021 They gave me spaghetti noodles instead of lomein! It's pretty bad and tasteless, and the texture is all wrong. I wish they had let me know they were out of the correct noodles so I could have gotten rice. The orange chicken is still good but very disappointed with the spaghetti experience.
10/02/2021 Gave them another chance and they had the original lomein noodles so I guess they were having supply issues. Changed to 4*, nice local place...
