Henrique's Cafe — Restaurant in Garland

This place is very homey, small café with a few tables and the family running it. I'll say that this is our second time coming here and we tried new dishes from last time because their menu is big!

First they serve you complimentary chips and homemade salsa. The salsa is GREAT!

I ordered 2 sopes with fajita and the meat was a bit tough. The taste was really good, but I was not expecting them to have chopped onions. Really my first time ever seeing it, but it was good.

My husband ordered the seafood soup, and it was good but again, a quirky thing I didn't understand that they do is add potato to the soup, which really overpowers the other flavors. This soup should be served with tomato, onion, and maybe carrot as to not take away from the protein. The next time we come we won't mind ordering it again but please hold the potato.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Went today 11/04/24 with my family and the service was one of the worst I've had all year. The chick with the fan lashes had so much attitude and seemed bothered that we were ordering. The milkshake was kind of leaking and I got up to get napkins. The people behind the counter, I assume the owners, seemed bothered when I asked for napkins. Took like 10 minutes for an elote to come out even though we were the only ones there, not to mention it was messy and over flowing, only for it to taste watered down. Don't waste your time and money coming here. Support a small business that actually values...

First time here, the place was very clean that right away was a big plus for me. The moment we started asking questions I vould see older man was irritated. I had a gotdita it was descent not the best but good. I had a cocktail shrimp the tostadas were good. Enchiladas and rice wer not pleasing. The attitude was disgusting! They could have the best food but with their terrible service we will not be back! Sad but they should not get upset or cope attitude when someone new is asking questions. 40 minute drive for us simply not worth the time, the effort or the money spent....
