Pho Chau's — Restaurant in Garland

Cold nights like this one needed a soup rescue…and we found it in an awesome bowl of Pho a few minutes away from church. The place is open until 9pm, which gave us a few minutes. Would have liked to explore more from the menu, but maybe next time.

We got the Pork Egg Rolls, a Chicken Banh mi, and Beef Pho, P1 & P8. The regular bowl was already quite big for me, the banh mi was smaller than the usual places we’ve been, and the egg rolls are about the same size. Not the best egg rolls for me but the Pho def stood out!

For a neighborhood Pho place, the atmosphere was totally different from hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shops that we’ve tried or the flashy neon-sign loaded ones in Dallas. The high ceilings and open style interior made it feel like a barn-style restaurant sans the cowboys. The restrooms were pretty wide and clean as well.

Customer service was on point, we had a steady supply of limes for our Pho and water. All-in-all a fantastic...

I rarely give a restaurant a 5 star all the way through, and even though this one already has a perfect 5 star. I have decided that it is well deserved. From customer service to their tasty food. We arrived 1 hour before closing and i noticed an entire family coming in and being sat 15 minutes before closing and were well attended! I rarely see that.

The did not hold back on their delicious chicken Spring Rolls. Their Pho was flavorful. Although they do not have spearmint or basil for their soups, they didn't hold back on their garnish. It felt like I was eating in the comfort of my own home. The server kept coming around to make sure we were good. The Vietnamese Jasmin tea was my favorite.

Wayyyyy over priced bland chicken fried rice. No flavor. . maybe the other food is good but for $15 for a small container of CHICKEN fried rice, what a let down. Id undstand shrimp,beef, or a combination.... but just for chicken? The cheapest protein.... Extremely disappointed for what I paid. The people working there are nice thats about all I got out it. Food was trash 🗑 asked for a spring roll with shrimp and pork... like how authentic spring rolls are made... layer of pork wrapped then the noodles and shrimp with the veggies .. uhhhh no we don't do that... idk about this place.. supposed to be Vietnamese cuisine... doesn't seem like it.. lol...
