Tia's has been on my "go here" list since I drove by it all last Summer going to the library. It's a small menu, in a small venue, but the food seems really authentic. The enchiladas are not what we understand commonly to be enchiladas, more like cheese rolled in bread and covered in sauce. I don't really care WHAT you call them, they're delicious. In the photos you can see my enchiladas huastecas, with green and red sauce. I really didn't need any of the salsas, these had enough of the very tasty but quite spicy sauce on them. The white bottle contains a lovely crema that added coolness and terrific counterpoint to the spice. The eggs were ordered up, but came over, and still, perfectly cooked. The "corned beef" is, again, not like what we consider corned, but beautifully marinated and a little like very tasty and savoury jerky. The coffee cup was immense. Service was a little off. I think my server was a little surprised someone so obviously not Latin was there, but I got what I wanted quickly, and with a smile. Very pleasant, homey, chill vibe. Three gentlemen ate menudo in the corner with their own coronas. I must return to try the lunch foods, and at least the menudo.

I came in around 8pm on a Saturday night and I was immediately greeted by the owner and staff. They gave such a warm welcome. They helped me through the menu and had a note on the menu to notify if we had allergies. I have a dairy and gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate me. Their corn tortillas are made from scratch and I was able to eat a lot of items on the menu which as gorditas, fresh fruit drinks, barbacoa ect. The owner surprised us with guacamole and it was very fresh and delicious. The best part about the menu is that everything is fresh and hand made. The corn tortillas were so delicious and tasted way better than the store bought ones. The server was knowledgeable and accommodated my dietary needs, the owner made sure to give me corn tortillas and double checked. I would definitely come back. You can’t beat the prices , quality in food, & customer service. The pina is delicious 🤤 (I’m gluten and diary intolerant , not celiac so be mindful with your allergies when dining)

Tia’s Kitchen is the kind of place you stumble upon once and then can’t stop coming back to. The food here is authentic and made with soul, you can taste the love and tradition in every bite. The tortillas aren’t store-bought; they’re made from scratch, and that alone tells you you’re in for something special. Prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the quality. For a small spot, it can get packed fast, but that’s just proof it’s good. Sure, parking is tight, but the moment you walk inside, all that melts away. You’re instantly focused on the food in front of you and the people you’re sharing it with. Tia’s Kitchen is more than a meal, it’s an experience, and one that feels like home.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Stay away from this place I will say this is not a 4.5+ restaurant. I had an incredibly disappointing visit to this restaurant and would not recommend it. First, they charged me for TAP WATER 💧 , which I’ve never encountered at any restaurant in my life, and they never refilled it despite my glass being empty. This was especially frustrating as I noticed other tables receiving complimentary salsa, while my table was given none, with no explanation. I couldn’t help but wonder if I was treated differently, possibly due to my race, especially since the water charge seemed unique to me.

The food was mediocre—nothing stood out, and it didn’t justify the price or hassle. The restaurant itself was uncomfortably hot with no air conditioning, making the meal unpleasant. The interior also felt dirty, with visible grime that detracted from the experience. To top it off, the server who brought my food had noticeable body odor, which was off-putting and unprofessional.

Overall, the combination of poor service, questionable practices, and an unclean, uncomfortable environment made this a place I’ll avoid in the future. The food is honestly a mid 3 stars but the tap water set me off and the service nonexistent and they still want a tip? Stay away also only 3...

Stopped here on a whim, because I was craving breakfast tacos. I was bummed when I didn't see them on the menu. The the waitress, I believe she is the manager as well, but she is a Super sweet, friendly, and welcoming. She offered to make whatever kinda burrito/tacos we wanted! They didn't disappoint! I had potato, egg, cheese and black beans and omg .... Yummy.... The table side salsa was super delicious. My husband had breakfast enchiladas with red and green sauce, with eggs, and a piece of steak. I have no idea what it's called but omgeeeeee he loved it, I loved it! It was a winner! And don't get me started on the coffee, get the coffee brewed with cinnamon. 😭😍 It's delicious.....so comforting ...❤️❤️❤️Portion sizes are average, but the taste is where it's at!!! It's not tex mex bs, this is authentic Mexican flavors .... Not the outskirts of Mexico, but the inner lands by waterfalls and such😍. Just a perfect blend of flavors! I can't wait to go back and try more on their menu! 5 stars! Service, atmosphere, food, friendliness, bilingual, price..... I mean what else could we of asked for!?!!!...
