I live in Apex, but I'll head to Garner on a regular basis now that I've found Cocula. I love authentic Mexican food, and this restaurant is the place to find it. I ordered the Enchiladas Supreme off the dinner menu. A wonderful selection of four enchiladas—cheese, ground beef, chicken, and bean—were beautifully displayed on the hot plate when it arrived. The enchiladas were topped with a delicious red sauce, sour cream, and shredded cabbage. The texture of the enchiladas was so smooth that each bite melted in my mouth. The wait staff is fantastic! The service was great, with the waiter checking on me regularly before, during, and after eating. When I clumsily dropped a glass and it shattered into many tiny pieces, the wait staff immediately reassured me that it was OK as they quickly swept up the mess I had made. My embarrassment quickly turned to gratitude. This is a friendly, welcoming place, with comfortable booths and a nice atmosphere. The food and the wait staff make it a treasured find. I can't wait to go back.

This was our first experience at Que Pashoo. We all really enjoyed our meals. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our waitress quickly brought menus and took our drink menus. She came back with menus and salsa. A bowl of salsa was brought for each of us. I had a shrimp tostada, my younger son had a shrimp burrito (which was huge), my other son had the shrimp quesadilla and my husband had the vegetarian burrito bowl. We all agreed everything tasted very fresh. My husband and I noticed there were a lot of Hispanic patrons which suggests the food is authentic. The flavors were very strong in a good way. My one critique is that at some point during our meal the music became extremely loud and I think it was due to someone having a birthday. I don't think such loud music was necessary to celebrate.

Pleasantly surprised! The space is really big and nice. We got a booth and it offered us a very private feel because of the high partition. The food is sooo tasty. We ordered the Camarones Brasas, Tostada Jaiba and Levanta Muerto soup - all amazing!!!! I thought the featured drink menu was a bit pricey, compared to other similar restaurants. I decided to try the Mangochamoy, since it seemed like a reasonable drink price. It was well worth it. I ended up needing to get help to finish it. We went on a Friday, so they had a live band. It was very loud so we couldn't hear each other speak while they played. but we enjoyed the music. The band sets up at the very front of the restaurant so the next time we visit, we'll request a table further away to see if that helps.

Wife and I went here by accident just because we were in the area and hungry. But what a happy accident. The food is VERY good. Yes, it is a bit on the pricy side if you consider plates starting at 20 dollars to be pricy. There's no 10 dollar enchilada special plate smothered in canned cheese food product sauce. But the price is a fantastic value FOR WHAT YOU GET, which in our case was impossibly fresh seafood and flavorful, tender beef. Seriously, in my wife's hometown, we can walk down to the beach as the fishermen are bringing in their catch and buy seafood right off the boat, and this seafood is damn close to being that fresh. The calamari and octopus are very tender. Reviews written by people complaining about price are clearly written by people who don't understand or appreciate good food. We had ceviche, ribeye, a side of rice, and one specialty alcoholic beverage and our bill was about 60 dollars. That's a good value. Yes, there is a language barrier if you don't speak Spanish. My Spanish is not very good at all. My wife is always mistaken for Latina (she's not) and our waitress became quite flustered when she realized my wife speaks no Spanish. She recovered, however, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I though to myself that this is the type of place Anthony Bourdain would have appreciated. The restaurant is about an hour from our house, but I know...

Watch your bill here! We were a party of 4 and only 3 of us ate. Our bill was almost $60 and when I looked at it I realized Myra the waitress had already added herself a nice tip to it. I asked her about it and she said they auto add the tips for bills over $50 so I asked her when they started that and she said a month ago then quickly walked away. Thing is I was just there a couple weeks ago and they did not do this and my bill before her tip was only $42. Next time she walked by I asked her to take it off and she said she could not but could lower it to 10% if I really wanted. And honestly with how rude she was and the slow service she provided she did not deserve a 10% tip. We spoke to the manager and he seemed nervous so I wasn't sure if he was aware of what was going on and was just nervous because they got caught or if he didn't know. He did state that the waitresses are not supposed to do that and the tip is up to the customer and he removed the tip from our bill. Thing is I went back 2 weeks later and Myra is still working there and kept staring and giving me the evil eye the whole time we were there. To me the fact the manager did not fire her for this says he is either okay with it or knew about it the entire time. The food here is not worth the drama, save yourself the trouble and go...

First thing I noticed when we entered is that is still looks like the old Tripps inside. They changed the paintings and added some metal cactus decor on the walls and thats it. There's no feel or ambiance of being in a Mexican restaurant. The server didn't know what was on the specials board. Before our food arrived, our server took away my husbands bowl of salsa, instead of asking if he wanted more. When our food was brought out, the server grabbed my bowl of salsa and the basket of chips, I had to tell her to leave them. Not sure if its the restaurants policy to only alow you one bowl of chips and salsa or if the server just wanted us to hurry up, dispite the fact they weren't busy. The only redeeming factor was the food. It was good....but nothing special. Considering the whole experience, I would have say the food is over priced. I was looking foward to to place opening since I crave Mexican food 24/7 and was so hoping for a good Mexican restaurant in the Garner area. This place falls short. I think they want to be like Dos Taquitos but they have a long way to go. I will give them another chance in the future. Hopefully, they can work out the bugs and win me...
