They are always friendly.. And give the most cash in town.. Would recommend to anyone
Update: At one point in time my previous review was accurate. The majority of the team is very friendly, fast, and fair. However, my last three visits have been questionable. Every 6 months or so I always make a jewelry purchase and can honestly say I have spent thousands in this shop. My loyalty stood firm. I also utilized loans for jewelry when the need for extra cash arises BUT, this last three visits have caused me to not want to spend but only utilize when needed. The first bad experience I thought was a fluke and the manager was having a bad day, the next visit I noticed it again, and then today dealing with her on a sale of a bracelet that I have utilized on loan many occasions was really bad. No attempt to pull up past history or anything. Automatically gave me a price less than half of what was loaned to me previously. Now I know gold prices fluctuate but this was ridiculous. I brought several pieces that I do not want anymore and didnāt even make it to the the other ones because the manager didnāt seem to care and stated their systems had changed. Well that sucks because I wonāt be returning to this location again. I took that same piece to a different establishment and they offered me what I was offered by National previously when I was asked if I wanted to sell it on one of my previous visits. I hate to assume anything is personal but the vibe I got today was weird and Iām not sure why but I will spend my money elsewhere and if the need arises for extra cash maybe Iāll try a different location. I asked why because I have never been asked to show jewelry in a jewelry store or in any other pawn shop. He stated because people do bad things. I stated Iām not one of those people. He stated well I canāt show you any jewelry. Then he says what is your budget, we have layaway. (Why does he immediately assume I need layaway, I actually came to buy out right with my credit card). I stated, I donāt need layaway. I asked why do you need ID, is that the policy. He got really upset and stated yes. I asked can I see the policy. He showed me a sticker on a glass. I stated that is not a policy that is a sticker. I stated can I see an official policy document. He stated that is all we have, then he walked off angrily. I stated excuse me, I wasnāt done with this conversation. I asked him to calm down as I am having a low voice tone inquiry in regards to this. I stated to him why do I have to be penalized because of what other ppl have done. He walked back towards me and stated I donāt have a policy. I stated ok, thatās fine, I will shop somewhere else and not here ever again (in a low voice tone to him as there were other customers in the store). My point is, I come to shop at a store and get harassed about an ID to shop when I am about to spend my money there and then also be categorized and judged as a thief because other what oher ppl have done or my skin color, either/or. Called for hours and couldnāt get them to answer phone. Needed a loan and was given $40 for my Bose QuietComfort 45 Bluetooth Headphones that are less than a month old and are listed everywhere for $250 - $320. Was told by employee that they are listed on eBay for $79.99 which is the platform they use to price items, but the only thing I can find that low for the same headphones were a pair listed as āDefectiveā for $70.00. Mine are almost new and in complete working order. I had taken an uber from 25 minutes away while car in shop and was in a rush , or I would have went elsewhere. In fact, I visited Picasso pawn a couple days later to ask them what they would have given and they quoted me $90 for the same headphones.
This isnāt the first issue Iāve had with them. I pawned a tablet, and when I went to pick up was told I couldnāt because my license had just expired and was made to wait for weeks until new one came in, and pay more to pick it up while they held my tablet hostage ā¦. only to be told I was given inaccurate information and you can pick up with expired id, just not get loan or sell anything if expired.
