Tonight was my 41st birthday celebration. My husband and I don’t often eat out and recalled fondly the two times we ate at your establishment. My mother is visiting from Missouri and really wanted to take my little family and I out for a special birthday dinner— myself, my husband and our 4 month old son. Arrival was mediocre but the waitress, Heather I think, was rather flighty and did not represent you well. Every aspect of our order was incorrect and she failed to check in a timely matter to fix it. She also never offered drink refills. Let’s start with the house salads. My mother ordered oil and vinegar on the side and I ordered thousand island on the side. When I was finished with my salad and French dressing, the waitress asked if we needed anything. We asked again for oil and vinegar. She insisted the vinaigrette with the pudding consistency and karo flavoring was oil and vinegar. A full 10 minutes later another young lady returned with oil and vinegar. Then when our entrees arrived — ordered as a Shorty’s cheeseburger, a sirloin medium with plain potato and a sirloin medium well with a plain potato — the steaks weren’t right and my husband never got the Mayo he asked for. Twice. The medium steak was medium rare and full of gristle. The medium well steak was shoe leather beyond well and potato was raw. As a breastfeeding mother, I was quite famished and ate anyway while bottle feeding my son. I was more than halfway done when the waitress returned. Since when does your waitstaff refuse to wait 30 seconds for patrons to cut into the steak to check for correct doneness. When we were done she finally stopped by to ask how everything was; my mother barely touched her over cooked steak as it was just too tough. The waitress offered to make it right and brought another potato. The timing was done and at this point my son needed a diaper change, so we went to the car since you do not have facilities with a table or changing station. My mother and husband waited a further 15 minutes for the bill and the manager. The manager never arrived so she paid and left so as not to cause a scene. This was abysmal. We’ve sent countless people your way and now feel embarrassed for doing so. The evening was ruined and it was expensive. Your establishment is an extravagance and today, Shorty’s was so far off the mark that the Red Robin burgers are superior as is the sirloin at Texas Roadhouse — at 1/3 the price!!! And they always (1) offer refills and a to-go cup and (2) wait for patrons to check food before disappearing. This was such an abhorrent experience I am nauseous. I should add— the restaurant was not...

My husband and I went for dinner Friday with 7:45pm reservations. We were seated right away in the family seating area, bar and family seating were both very noisy, was hard to hear our waitress. We ordered diet and regular pepsi and crab cakes to start. Drinks arrived and both had no carbonation, just ice and syrup. Crab cakes were just ok, we told her about the drinks, she apologized and brought 2 new drinks and left them without us checking if they were ok, they still had no carbonation. She came back and we ordered our mains, chicken piccata with garlic mashed potatoes and Caesar salad for me and medium filet with mashed potatoes and some kind of cheesy sausage soup for my husband. We told her the drinks were the same and just to take them off the bill, we would just drink water. My chicken and potatoes were overly salty, and the potatoes were cold, tasted like instant. My husband said his steak was good. His soup didn’t have any chunks of potato in it, just mushy but he said the flavor was good. My salad had a weird flavor to it, didn’t finish it or my food. When we got our bill, it was dropped off by a young man, not our waitress and it still had the drinks on them so we had to wait for her to come by and have the bill fixed. $117 including tip. Not worth the money And whoever was filling the drinks, not sure how they didn’t notice that there was 0 carbonation when filling the glasses or if they just didn’t care. This was our first time here and we...

The server was always in a hurry, the kind you're always scared to ask anything for like a straw. The atmosphere was loud. Chairs are very uncomfortable. She brought my food first so it "didn't get cold," but it already was, and my husband only ordered a salad, so why did mine come out before his? Anyways... he asked for no onions, she saw it had onions on it before it made it to the table so she took it back and return with it 1 min later with the smell of onion all over it so she just took the onions off. He just ate it anyway. We wanted to try a different steak house and went out on a limb with this one for our anniversary, and we should have just stuck with our regular. I'm glad I didn't choose a $50 steak here. If I'm going to pay over $100 bucks for 2, it won't be in a loud environment with kids crying, hard chairs and a rude waitress. Nothing against the kids, it just added to the already noisy restaurant. I've been to worst places, I'm sure it's fine for lunch or a quick dinner out for some Flatbread pizza or salad. Steak chips were good. I wanted to throw...

My wife and I were passing through Garrett when we saw Shorty's and decided to stop for dinner. We were pretty lucky that they had a couple seats at the bar--several groups were turned away because their tables were pretty well booked up for the night and they didn't want to wait to see if there would be an opening. My wife got the Beef Stroganoff and I got Asiago Crusted Chicken with Linguine, and we split a crab cake appetizer. The crab cakes were good, esp with the Cajun tartar sauce. The Stroganoff and chicken with Linguine were fantastic. Service was great, too! If you want to go, though, make reservations well in advance. Also, please understand that most places are not only short staffed, but are facing ingredient shortages and higher costs, and are forced to make adjustments--menu, hours, open tables, prices, etc. Be patient, flexible, compassionate and understanding. And tip your servers well! They deserve it.

If you ever have the chance to dine here, do not hesitate! Everything from the beginning to the end was top notch. They start you out with rolls and butter. We split the bruschetta and crab cakes, both delicious. They have a large drink menu, something for everyone. I had the 8 ounce filet mignon with the brussel sprouts and house salad. Everything was perfect and tastes great. No need for anything on the steak as it was seasoned to perfection. The Brussels were roasted and seasoned perfect. Our table also split the turtle cheesecake and chocolate cake. They were both delightful and a perfect ending to the dinner. A wonderful dining experience for sure!

My steak was to die for it's literally the only and first time I think I will ever not need A1 steak sauce on it. Their house gravy is of course brown which in my opinion is the best. I just kind of thought that there would be more people in there changing the atmosphere. I was expecting it to be a lot busier I liked our seating areas atmosphere but I was surprised there was nobody at the bar or there was maybe two other tables that I saw and maybe one or two families outside. We had amazing service from not only our waitress but also the manager. They made us feel very special. Definitely a great place for love birds.
