Alonso's Cafe — Restaurant in Garwood

This is by far my favorite coffee shop North of South Amboy. Way better than any coffee shop in the Westfield, Cranford, Roselle area.Ive been to them all. Today I had a terrific Single origin Brazilian coffee made pour over style. Also had a delicious sausage breakfast burrito and finished with an awesome honey vanilla latte. The coffee is superb, the space is beautiful, the owners are very likeable and accommodating.. The small bites and breakfast burritos are really good. This is why I travel about 25 minutes and pass many coffee shops to come here weekly. After a few very disappointing visits at other coffee shops it made me appreciate this gem...

I recently started visiting Alonso’s and have to say that I’m quite impressed with it. First of all, its interior is adorable and cozy; it feels like stepping into a friend’s house. Secondly, the staff (who I think might be the owners?) are very warm and friendly. Lastly, their coffee tastes so fresh and smooth! I loved their flat white & toasted marshmallow latte. I’ve lived around this area for the majority of my life and definitely think Garwood needed a small & high quality coffee shop like this. I can’t wait to continue...

I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to review Alonso’s Cafe! Diana and Jean are incredibly warm and friendly, and make you feel like you’ve been friends forever. Even more importantly, the coffee and matcha here is exceptional. The best I’ve ever had. Many of the flavors are homemade and each season, there’s something new and exciting offered. I’m so happy they serve breakfast burritos now, in addition to delicious pastries, because they’ve become a one stop shop for me and my partner. Happy almost one year...
