Oriental Pearl — Restaurant in Gas City

Do not order takeout food from this place. It is not cooked fresh. Tasted and felt like it’s been stored in the refrigerator and then microwaved . Takeout General tso chicken is chewy and almost inedible. The rice is bland and hard. It’s obvious they just reheat pre-cooked meals for takeout. Avoid at all costs!!!

(Update - Ive given your establishment multiple chances and you’ve proved each time that it’s just reheated. Your takeout general tsos and fried rice is Stuffed to the max in a plastic takeout box “definitely leftovers from another day” that have been refrigerated. Do you know how it’s easy to tell? Each time I find rock hard rice stuffed into the corners of the box that just sticks together and is completely inedible. Flavorless overly chewy chicken that you legitimately cannot chew through and have to spit out. Will...

The food here is great. The prices are great. The menu is diverse, the owners are great people, and the general atmosphere is very cozy, friendly, and inviting. The actual location is a little... Off putting, to say the least; being in a small strip next to a locally owned seasonal fireworks shop, a locally owned pharmacy, and a dollar general, the moderately sized strip mall - esque building is rather rundown and old looking, and the shops within all share that same air of economy. This is more of a fault with the landlord than the tenants however, and this is readily apparent by the superb quality of the food. If you're looking for cheap, high quality Asian comfort food, there's not really a better place in Gas City, in my opinion. I'd probably recommend getting it...

This place makes me so sick. I have been here several times and had awful experiences almost every time. My most recent visit ended with me hearing " WHITE TRASH" yelled at me in an angry tone of voice as I was leaving with a Doordash order even though I began my visit with a "Hi" and ended it with "THANK YOU". My other awful experiences included 20 minute wait times without any warning from them so that I could unassign the Doordash to another driver and get back to earning a living. Even though I am aware that my review will have little impact on the business staying open because of the huge financial grants immigrants businesses receive at the expense of taxpayers, I must report this to prevent some other people from getting as sick...
