My husband and I have been going to Don Pedro’s for multiple years at this point and have had good experiences. Food has always been consistent, never is terribly busy, and service is typically fine.

We went to eat dinner not during the rush with the dining room only having a few customers. We were sat at the bar section where the bar tender took about ten minutes to take our drink order. The service was okay after that. When trying to get our check we waited for fifteen minutes for someone to check on us. The hostess and another wait staff member gave us our check. We also asked for boxes. The hostess got our boxes but dropped them on the ground before handing them to us. Totally understand accidents happen but the hostess picked up the boxes like nothing happened and was upset when I asked for new ones. Not sure if she actually gave us new ones or just went behind the bar and handed us the same ones.

Stopped in for dinner last night, and since it’s in a little strip mall, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much. But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Gigantic art on the walls, high-back wooden chairs carved out of wood, it was a totally different vibe than I anticipated, and in a good way. It was Friday night around 8:00, and the place was packed. Despite that, we got a table almost immediately.

Now, I didn’t care for the salsa. It was a bit too oniony and runny for my taste, but honestly, that’s the only downside. The Birria tacos were phenomenal. The portion of meat was huge, and for around $19, it was an exceptional value. The guys I was with all ordered different things, and they were just as impressed as I was. The service? Absolutely stellar. No complaints there.

So yeah, other than the salsa not being the best I’ve ever had, it’s a minor issue compared to how good everything else was. I’ll definitely...
