I love Dairy Queen and this one's the closest to my house, but I'm sad to say that it's absolutely terrible. This is the second time I have been talked down to by the drive-thru women. The first time, I asked for a funnel cake with vanilla ice cream. I pulled up and she just gave me plain funnel cake. I told her that I asked for vanilla ice cream and that they didn't put it on there. She demanded that I did NOT mention asking for ice cream and then further told me "if you wanted ice cream, then you have to say so!" As she yelled at the workers to make a new one I was actually petrified that she'd spit in my food because that's how rude she seemed! (You know is very bad when your customers are scared of you) She gave me the funnel cake I asked for and it was wonderful and did NOT have spit in it, thankfully! The second time I went, I asked for 2 Reese's cup blizzards, one with banana and one plain, and a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard. After pulling up to the window, she handed me a chocolate ICE CREAM cookie dough blizzard. I told her it's not what I asked for and that I just wanted plain vanilla. She then rested her elbow on the inside window ledge and condescendingly said "if you wanted vanilla, then you should've asked for it!" (When I thought just saying choc. chip cookie dough was the plain vanilla.?) She handed me the new cookie dough one like it was supossed to be in the first place, but there were barely any cookie dough chunks in it, it was basically just vanilla ice cream. She then came busting through the window with my plain reese cup blizzard as I asked, and then the other one with banana. But then come to find out, BOTH had banana in it. Not to mention she didn't tilt the blizzards upside down (which is a Dairy Queen thing), they say that if they don't tilt it upside down then you get a free blizzard..but knowing how rude she is, my brother and I didn't want to 'push her buttons' anymore and just drove away. Horrible, terrible, completley awful person that you have to deal with when going through the drive-thru. She is in complete denial of ANYTHING she does wrong and will blame you for a wrong order! Never...
Read moreWish I had taken a picture of the cherry-dipped cone that the super nice lady put in a bowl for me upside-down! At first I wasn't even going to go here because the drive-thru speaker was down and there was a sign taped on the menu that said to come inside due to the speaker issue. When I parked my car, I looked inside and the place was PACKED. I stood in line for a second and almost walked back to my car just from the stress of how many people were around me. As soon as I went to walk out, the woman at the register says "I can take who's next in line!" - I looked around at everyone who I thought was waiting to have their orders taken, and everyone told me, "no, no, you're next, we're just waiting."....I was DEFINITELY anxious then, because if they were all waiting for food, then should I even risk ordering and waiting forever? lol....all these thoughts were IMMEDIATELY gone when I placed my order, explained to the lady that I had a relatively long car-ride home, and that I was worried it would all melt before I was able to give the icecream to my roommate. She responded like such a pro and I have no idea what the other people ordered, but mine was ready and in the PERFECT container as to avoid melting everywhere for the car ride back, in less than 2 minutes. I ordered, walked over to the area where you get napkins, and my order was ready...it was probably less than a minute, honestly. I appreciate this Dairy Queen so much. Friendly staff, excellent service, and one of the only cherry-dipped options around. ----- the last time I went here with my roommate, the drive-thru was fully functional, so this is clearly not a normal thing. And the quality of food and service here is worth getting out of my car and walking a couple steps lol. I do hope their drive-thru gets fixed soon, but for me it's clearly not an issue. Keep up the awesome job, DQ. I...
Read moreIf I could give it ZERO stars, I would. I went through the drive thru and waited what seemed like an eternity. There were 3 cars ahead of me and I waited about 20 minutes. The 2 cars in front of me had just one or 2 items each, so the wait was kinda crazy. I got to the front, handed her my card and after she said "Oh by the way, the ice cream was a little soft so we had to put your dip cone in a cup". I asked her if it was melted because it sat so long? She assured me no so I decided to let it go, Even though it should have been my choice whether or not I wanted to keep it and they didn't give me the choice. Well, she handed it to me and I couldn't take stock of it till I pulled over. THIS is what I got. The dip was so incredibly thick I couldn't break it!!! Finally I broke it apart with my hands (extremely messy and sticky). Then the ice cream was so melted it was like soup, I couldn't even eat half of it because it was underneath the hard part of the dip and I couldn't get it out. Absolutely unacceptable that I paid nearly $5 for this...There was NO ice cream in the cone, either, Which tells me most likely the whole thing dropped and they fished out the ice cream and threw a new cone on top and handed it out the window...this should NEVER have been served and if I wasn't disabled, I would've marched inside and had words with a manager. I did try calling and it just rang and rang. Never again will I go here. I'd rather spend more money and go to Culver's or Tony's and get something that's actually made properly and not have to worry about the quality. I really ever treat myself, So this just left a really bad taste in my mouth... Literally and figuratively. My advice? Avoid this place at all costs. If they're willing to serve something this subpar, I'd hate to see what might be in the food and what their cleaning standards...
