Overall an interesting place that is hidden behind an organic market. I usually don't eat a lot of vegetarian/vegan food but what I have had has been good. I had high hopes and they were met by the majority of items. I had a variety of things; Oat Waffle: crispy, great taste and texture. The fruit compote and cinnamon butter really tied it together Breakfast platter: The white bread was okay, it wasn't toasted that well so slightly disappointing, the scrambled eggs were good and the turkey bacon was okay. Mushroom cap sandwich: so the description made it seem as if it was gonna be a big mushroom caps as the buns and then of course condiments in the middle. It was a mushroom cap, with condiments in between regular buns. We did add a protein, my only issue the mushroom was very vinegary, I'm assuming they marinate the mushroom in apple cider vinegar or something to obtain a certain texture but it completely took away from the sandwich with such a harsh taste. It would be better to marinate it, maybe rinse it and then do a seasoning and quick grill. It needed something. Vegetarian Benedict: actually very good, the eggs were done properly and the sauce actually had a good taste. Biscuits and gravy: It was okay for a vegetarian option... definitely doesn't compare to the real thing but I don't think it's a bad substitute either.
Overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, the place wasn't lit well and my only issue was cleaning your own table. I don't mind cleaning up, but with the prices and everything I didn't think I we'd be cleaning up our dishes (scraping our own plates, separating silverware and cups) things I would think a server would do especially if a tip is asked during payment. It's just a personal thing as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years.
The workers were nice, I won't say they weren't, very friendly and when I was about to wipe and spray my own table a woman came out just in time to offer to do it for me.
A very cute spot, decent food and good option for someone doing a certain diet such as this or just wanting to eat clean. Probably will come back, mainly for takeout since I did enjoy that waffle a...
Read moreCame here yesterday for the first time with my fiancĂ©. Ordered the âspicy chickenâ but the lady who took our orders was having a problem getting their credit card system working so she calls both the women in the kitchen out to help. Iâm guessing some where along the lines she put in the wrong order and after 25 minutes of waiting, she brings out 2 sad little sandwiches. Spicy chicken was supposed to be on flat bread with jalapeños but was not. Took a bite and the chicken was so tough and disgusting, very obviously microwaved. Never really had an experience like this so was unsure what to do and didnât wanna come across as rude. My fiancĂ© ordered a grilled cheese with turkey bacon and they put the weirdest looking turkey bacon,(which he ended up picking out because it was gross) I think it was vegetarian. It wasnât stated on the menu that it was vegetarian turkey bacon. Disappointing. I told the lady who rang us up that the chicken on my sandwich was not edible and she pressured me into getting something else off the menu. I order a house salad. 5 minutes later they bring it out to me and there is a bug swimming in the balslamic dressing. At this point Iâm horrified and so I just leave. My fiancĂ© informs the cook about the bug and instead of refunding our meal, she gives him the most disgusting cupcake Iâve ever tasted. I really donât understand how this place has good reviews. I even tipped $5 before I got my food because I wanted to support local businesses. Big...
Read moreI honestly feel ashamed that I haven't written a review sooner. This is my favorite place to eat in the world. I get so frustrated with normal restaurants and their lack of quality, or if they deign to give me quality, to make me pay an arm and a leg for it. This restaurant gives me fresh, REAL, incredibly flavorful food every single time for an incredibly reasonable price. I try to treat myself to a meal here at least once a week, but often find myself going more. Excuse the poor food photography, but the picture below is a fresh housemade brussel sprout salad that explodes with flavor, and a grilled chicken sandwich perfectly cooked with a brioche bun, topped with caramelized Onions, Tomato Jam, avocado, mixed Greens Feta/Mozzarella Cheese Blend and Garlic Herb Aioli. The first bite sent me to heaven, the second bite made me realize what a fool I've been for not writing a review sooner. I love this place and the chef here deserves every award for quality food possible. The staff are also very genuine, patient, and intelligent people, which is a rare combination to find in the world anymore. Thank...
