I could not have asked for a better experience.

They took my mom's poor little hand-cut diamond, which had been trapped in a claustrophobic re-built setting for decades, and breathed glorious new life into it with the most BEAUTIFUL band that highlights its uniqueness and lets it see the sun again. Rather than sniffing at its small size and outdated, misshapen cut, they treated it like the one-of-a-kind precious memento that it is, and I cannot thank them enough. (Not to mention they handed me tissues when I started crying my eyeballs out!)

They also polished up and re-sized my engagement amethyst, which now shines like it did the night he proposed. I even got to meet and thank the jewelers who worked on my rings!

These folks understand that value isn't always measured in carats or dollar signs - it is measured in emotion. These pieces hold great significance to me not because of what the market says they're worth, but because they symbolize two people who are dear to my heart (one of whom is now gone). I get to have a part of my loved ones with me every day, and thanks to the hard work and gentle care from Facet Foundry I'm wearing a great big smile every time I look at them!

You do not have to go to Charlotte for fantastic adornments, we have a super option in Gastonia! Everyone on staff is incredibly friendly, professional & knowledgeable about their craft. Michelle the resident Gemologist was instrumental in finding the center stone for my wedding ring. She did a fabulous job getting me the green sapphire of my dreams!!! I gave her the unenviable task of finding me a dark green, non-heat treated sapphire. Nearly impossible to do! She completely came thru though with several options. Cannot rave enough about their customer service, very individualistic for each person & they really focus on you having an excellent experience versus making a sale. No "shark" mentality, consummate professionals.

They also have extremely beautiful jewelry all the time in a variety of price points. Anyone can walk in looking for that special piece & find something affordable. I made a comment to my mom that "I just want a simple ring with my birthstone in it. I love my birthstone (ruby), but I also love simple jewelry." It was a small comment I didn't put much emphasis in & I wasn't telling her as in dropping hints that I wanted her to get me one. Months later, as I completely forgot I made this comment, for my birthday, she gave me my great grandma's engagement ring- that had been passed to be my grandma's engagement ring.
