Food was delicious, what I could handle of it and service was fast and friendly. My complaints are how my drink appeared, as if there was dairy that didn't mix with alcohol well so it gave a gross appearance (it tasted fine though) and also, there was no warning on the menu that my shrimp street tacos were going to be so spicy. I could hardly eat them. 🙃 The ceiling in the women's bathroom was also very strange with toilet paper hanging in one stall and a light blinking almost like the flash of a camera. It was definitely a Halloween house I wasn't prepared for.
Edit: thank you management for responding! I really appreciate when owners take time to respond and take feedback into consideration. The drink I had was a margarita with coconut milk in it (don't remember the exact name) so that may be why it didn't look right. I would definitely have the bartender make sure the drink looked right because it was delicious but to be quite blunt, it looked straight up like puke!! If it weren't delicious, I wouldn't have drank it all lol I wish I could send you guys the video the night I went into the bathroom and recorded the weird stuff going on with the ceiling. It really had me wondering what was going on. Yes, the shrimp street tacos need a warning on them, for sure! I thought maybe they had given me the Diablo tacos by mistake. My mouth was burning. Had to drink two glasses of water in addition to my drink just to get the food down. It was very delicious but too spicy for my liking. Again, I really appreciate responding and the food/service was very good so there's a good chance that we will return next time we're in the...
Read moreThis is probably the largest and most popular restaurant in the immediate area. On the weekends it's always hoping. I've been several times, and honestly after the 1st experience I'm not sure why I came back. Well other than they are the only non fast food restaurant open *late in the area. Service and food have always been inconsistent. The staff tends to be younger and it shows. I brought my family here the first time and I saw the waitress exactly 3 times during the duration of our meal. None of us enjoyed our food. This time the older(as in over 18) waitress was excellent, attentive and pleasant. I've come in and had to wait 15min to pick up my takeout order that was already done, as a booth full of staff played on their phones. Similarly the food has been up and down as well. I've dined in and received greasy unpleasantness, or I've gotten takeout that was surprisingly good. Maybe it's just what I order, but I tend to stick to tortas, chimichangas and carnitas. Not the healthiest things on the menu. But sometimes they're good, sometimes they're forgettable. The queso is always good though. The Victoria bowl was huge, almost twice as much as usual, as was the cheese quesadilla. My chimichangas was good, but could've used another minute or two in the fryer. The rice to my rice and beans was oddly devoid of any coloration from the tomatoes, but this was the first time I've enjoyed them. Even sitting on the patio with the band blaring, it wasn't an overall negative outing, just inconsistent. I may or may not regret it, but...
Read moreWe stopped in today for a bite while running errands. We had heard the food was good here so we drove from Ocean Springs just to try it out. Guess we will never know whether it's good or not because we will never go back!
We got there and had to wait quite some time to be seated as no one was at the front when we arrived. I wasn't upset though because the young man that seated us was very kind. It wasn't too long after we sat down someone brought us chips and salsa. He did not speak, just put it down and walked away. My daughter needed a diaper change but I told my husband it could wait until we ordered because it should be no time before our waiter came. Unfortunately that was not the case, we finished the entire basket of chips and still no one had taken our drink order. At that point my husband began to time how long we'd been there. 10 minutes later, no one had taken our drink order much less acknowledged us. Basically after the time it took for us to eat our entire basket of chips plus 10 minutes, my husband who is usually the patient one said "let's go". Upon leaving there were 2 employees sitting at a table eating. No big deal, everyone has to take a break, but then there was one member of the wait staff sitting at the front waiting area, like he was just "pooped" just fiddling around. There appeared to be plenty of staff and it was FAR from being busy in there as it was about 320 when we arrived. We took our business elsewhere and will not be back. Very...
