Beautiful Knitting-Themed Cake & Amazing Experience

For my mother’s 60 birthday, I wanted to get her favorite type of cake, a Cleveland-style cassata cake, and have it reflect the knitting, sewing, and general crafting she has done her entire life.

However, finding a well-rated bakery that was willing to make a tiered cassata cake with buttercream icing proved more challenging than I expected… but then I found Cake Corner Bakery. Tina, the owner, was amazing walking me through the logistics and considerations to determine how best to approach designing the cake. Since cassata cakes are so moist and delicate, I provided a variety of fondant /gum paste pieces, toppers, and molds to use for decorating and ensure contingency options were available.

The resulting cake was a show stopper and so delicious. Everyone at the party was so impressed and it perfectly encapsulated my mother’s craftiness. (It even prompted a few tearful hugs.)

We have been buying cakes and pastries since 2018 at the Madison location. I was very sad when they had to close. But super excited for the new Geneva location. We buy roughly 7 cakes a year. Then we come in around once a week for our sweet treats. We have never been disappointed. The cakes are always moist and taste amazing. The new Gluten free cupcakes are a favorite for my husband. His Crohns cause issues with sweets. But he has never had an issue with Cake Corners Glutin Free cupcakes. The service is always amazing. My son calls Tina the OG of cakes. Thats a lot from a 12 year old. Our daughter has to go in for a Macaron once a week. Our other son with a picky pallet always finds the perfect treat. You will never be disappointed stopping in for dessert or a special...

Years ago, a friend of mine had brought me a piece of cake that was “to die for”! I couldn’t get enough of it. Myself and other family began to order from the baker. Unfortunately over the years, we could no longer order from that person anymore (mostly because we couldn’t get through on the phone). Fast forward to now, about 8 years later, and I have not been able to find a bakery even close to that, that tasted so ahhhhmazing…UNTIL NOW!!! Cake Corner Bakery has got my taste buds booming and blasting!! My husband ordered us a White Almond cake with Buttercream frosting and was “hands down”, THE BEST CAKE!! 🧁 This will forever be OUR cake...
