If you’re ever find yourself in Geneva Al and looking for a hidden gem, let me tell you about Porky Barn—a place that’s hands down the best-kept secret around. This spot is a haven for anyone who loves good, honest home cooking, and it’s the kind of place that makes you wonder why it’s not packed to the rafters every day. Let’s start with the breakfast. It’s nothing short of excellent—think hearty, flavorful dishes that hit all the right spots. Whether it’s pancakes, fluffy biscuits smothered in gravy, perfectly cooked eggs, or crispy bacon that’s just the right amount of salty, they’ve got it dialed in. It’s the kind of meal that feels like it was made by someone who really cares about feeding you well, not just churning out plates. The service? Top-notch. The folks at Pork Barn are warm, attentive, and quick on their feet without making you feel rushed. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. Pair that with a restaurant that’s spotlessly clean—seriously, you could eat off the floor if you wanted to—and you’ve got a winner. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable lingering over a second cup of coffee. Pork Barn isn’t flashy, and it doesn’t need to be. What it offers is simple, delicious food, a welcoming vibe, and an experience that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even left. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and seek it out. Just don’t tell too many people—let’s keep this secret between us. Oh, and I forgot to mention the...
Read moreBreakfast is really good and they deliver in the Geneva area. I especially like the grits. Unfortunately they have been training a new person for over a month now and there can be a long wait, especially if you come on Saturday. The last two times we tried to eat breakfast there, the 3/4 of the seats were empty but it took an hour and a half to get served. We're talking a simple meal like scrambled eggs, bacon and grits.
We ordered delivery two weeks later on a Tuesday and were quoted 45 minutes for delivery. After about 90 minutes my wife called to see what the holdup was. They just replied that it was busy and taking longer than expected, with no attempt to apologize or accept any responsibility for the situation. In fact, not once has any of the people in charge come over to our table, at any time we've been there to proactively apologize for any inconvenience.
Too bad too. The first few times we went there, including on a Saturday, we received fast and good service and the food was delicious! But, ever since one of the younger waitresses quit about a month or so ago, things seem to have gone downhill.
RECOMMENDATION: Unless you have lots of time to kill, I would personally not recommend Porky Barn at this time. If and when they get their management, training, and service delivery issues solved I would definitely consider eating there again. But until then, my family have chosen to avoid this place because we value our time
I hope this has...

You can't tell by looking at my to go plate but its loaded with diced up home fries platter with eggs, cheese, sausage, tomatoes, onion's, and gravy smothered all over it comes with mushrooms, jalapenos and something else but I didn't get it loaded and comes with a biscuit and jelly or toast which ever bread or meat...
