Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Georgetown

Although I grew up going to the local Dairy Queen, in Linden, NJ, for ice cream, last Thursday was my first time at a DQ since it began expanding into fried food. It should stick to ice cream. I ordered chicken strips and French fries. While everything was perfectly fried, indeed the strips were remarkably juicy and tender, none of the food had any taste! While chains like Chick Fil A put way too much salt on its fries for my taste, the DQ fries had none. The tenders, however perfectly cooked, tasted like the box they came in. If I ever go back, I’ll stick to the ice cream. In fact I would’ve bought ice cream, too, but I figured it would’ve been too melted once I finished the hot food. Turns out I threw all of that away when the seasoned salt I put on at home didn’t add much flavor to the flavorless food. I am a frequent customer at Dairy Queen, and today when I went I ordered two chili dogs. This is not my normal order, however, I was super hungry and knew that I would need one later in the day. The hot dog was drenched in chili, the box was soaked, and the bun was rock hard. I saw the first hotdog be placed as soon as I pulled up and waited for 5 minutes for the 2nd. When I called the store, I was told I could come up with a receipt and the hotdogh, and get a refund. Thanks, but I live a bit away. Food was good. 3 items on posted drive thru board and signs in drive thru were no longer available. Not sure why the were still on the menu and posted. Then no lids for the blizzards they said they were out. Asked for ketchup and never got it. Person taking the order had to keep asking other person if they had whatever we asked for. Looked like a circus in there. I had no confidence my order would be right. Hopefully one day this place will be able to stay open. Plus lobby is always closed what is the pin of...
