I really hate to do this because I had a good feeling going in to do a simple take-away for myself only, not from area, in hotel, so this was my shot at dinner. Seems like a good family place. I've spent time in nearly every Mexican state, plus every country in C. America (which isn't relevant to Mexican food I admit). What's more relevant is that over my 6 decades of a wandering life eating out in small towns across the west, where American-based Mexican families have cooked me so many excellent meals, I've never ever spit out my 1st mouthful, and thrown the rest in the garbage. That's exactly what I did with the food this place sold me.

I ordered something simple, a couple chicken burritos. Ten minutes after paying and leaving, I opened the bag to 2 of the most under-cooked BEEF burritos I've ever bitten into. I am going to bed hungry, short $10+ bucks, but it's better than being bed-sick! I've never had Mexican food this bad, and I am hoping that one bite doesn't lay me low with food poisoning. Avoid...

I eat a lot of Mexican food. I love it, and this place made me love it even more.

The Tortilla Soup is a masterpiece. This bowl of soup was bountiful, not only in size, but also in girth. Evey si gle bite had chicken and tortilla strips and cheese. The soup felt like something you'd throw together in your kitchen (homestyle) but was also deeply complex and well balanced.

The street tacos were incredible. The tortillas were soft and folded easily over the bounty of chicken stuffed in them.

The Tex-Mex fajitas were a dizzy array of meats and peppers and onions. Easily sharable, but trust me when I say, you'll want your own.

All of the serving sizes make you feel like your visiting your family. The staff were nice. The restaurant clean, and bright. We heard them sing happy birthday to another patron -- talk about bringing the joy!

This is the type of restaurant that celebrates it's culture and food. It's somewhere you'd eat regularly and also bring your out of town friends...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My husband had one of the most horrible experiences there and this was his 1st time there. The waitress Jennifer paid no mind to him or who he was with, she cut him off after his 3rd beer (he was sober) for absolutely no reason and serves the person he was with 5. and then goes ahead and servers minors. she asked no one for ID, when he asks her why he was getting cut off she or Edwin had no answer to give him. He was discriminated only because he had spoken to a white male that was there (who in fact is a regular). She ignored them most of the time so they had to ask another waitress for service Brenda I believe was her name (she was great). The manager or I should say assist manager Edwin was absolutely no help at all. They were surprised my husband spoke Spanish. I guess they just judge by the way someone looks. 1st and last time going to this place. One of the most horrible experiences EVER at any restaurant. Food wasn't even that...

I usually stop by here on my way north/south the peninsula. It's usually pretty good. The service is promp, the place is very clean . This last time, I ordered carne asada and it did not turn out very well . It had cross contamination from another meal. Something hot/pungent. Some kind of brownish sauce that irritated my taste buds. I had to pat it dry with napkins. I may continue to stop by. I recommend that the cooks pay more attention to what they're doing. Some people just cannot tolerate spicy foods.

Food was good; American Mexican. Reminds me of La Tonalteca (Delaware Ameri-Mex food chain). I got the beef quesadilla and my girlfriend got the quesadilla de camaron. The de camaran was not cut the way my beef dilla was and we made the mistake of cutting it. The large prices of shrimp started falling out so the best way to eat it is uncut and like a taco. Was very messy cut into small pieces. We also got a Texas margarita and a mango margarita. Both were very good. The Texas was strong… like I wanted. :)
