Your typical hometown pizza/Italian restaurant. We got a 2-topping medium pizza, a large tossed salad, and broccoli “bites” (croquettes) and 3 beers (total). Pre-tip total was $36. I would recommend this place for a weeknight dinner, work lunch, driving through, just don’t feel like cooking. Not anything special, but kind on the wallet and tasty enough.
Food: was decent. Price made it even better. Overall we got sooo much food for the price which made it worth it. Broccoli bites are deep fried croquettes with cheese and broccoli inside. Comes with fries that, while crispy, tasted like they were allergic to salt. Tossed salad was a flat plate filled to the brim with lettuce and large chunks of vegetable, with 3 to-go cups of Caesar dressing. Wish they would cut the veg a bit smaller, and at least serve it in a bowl big enough to toss the salad in if it’s not pre-tossed. Pizza was on the thinner side, was not doughy and well cooked. Sauce tasted good. Nice and saucy and cheesy. If you are an NYC pizza snob, this place will not be inedible. I enjoyed it. If you order a beer, the glass is frosted which is a nice touch. Water comes in large glasses that will last throughout your meal. We left with 5/8 slices of the pizza, almost all the croquettes/fries, and half the salad, full and sated. All for only $36 pre-tip.
Service: the young woman serving us was lovely, no frills and did her job. I have no complaints.
Atmosphere: the place is clean, looks like your typical hometown pizza place. No music playing. Bathrooms were clean-ish, floor in there definitely needed to be cleaned but the toilet and sink were clean and there was soap, TP, napkins. Beware if you dislike the sound of screaming babies. There are plenty in there and the acoustics of the place amplify the...
Read moreNot from around there, but was a convenient meeting spot. Had so-so expectations, based on reviews. Sat right away but also greeted right away and offered drinks. I am a fresh brewed iced tea snob, and theirs was fresh...not too strong, not too weak. Only service complaint was when she brought the drinks, she placed them on the table by holding the tops. (therefore her fingers may touch where you drink.) Always serve by holding sides! Otherwise, she was great. Of the 4 of us, one got spinach pie and Greek salad. Awesome with exception that olives with pits, not ideal. Chicken parm sandwich great, chicken panini sandwich, excellent! Chicken breast was not rubbery and instead fresh/moist. I got a crab cake sandwich due to lent, not awesome, but not bad. It's off season at a pizza place, so not surprising. It was hot and had a hot crispy coating to it, so was glad. Cole slaw and fries were yummy. Ketchup was disappointing at first, because not Heinz? But actually was very comparible to Heinz! 3 Of 4 Of us took a to go box. Will visit again, next time...
Read moreUsually we are always welcomed when dining in as a large group. Staff are very friendly and food is great, but this time we did not have a pleaselant experience. We went in as a large group this Sunday and had some visitors from another state. The owner of the restaurant was there,he usually is not. when we asked for seating for a group of 25, he told us that he can't attend us because it would take up all of the space in his restaurant. That he needs the space for his customers. We explained that we have visitors from another state and he continued "It doesnt matter, you cant stay." We had a smaller group stay because we had the visitors inside the restaurant already but we did not appreciate the way we were spoken to nor being kicked out coming in as nothing but customers. He also said that there are too many church people coming in on Sundays, which made us feel discriminated. We hope no one gets to experience something like this. It's not a good feeling, It's a great place to eat with great food and service but the owner does this...
