J & J Beyond Bagels — Restaurant in Georgetown

I cannot believe they continously put no kind of love in their salads! The first time I drove there to pick up my greek salad, it was missing feta cheese, I really thought they were out so I let it go. Then I go and buy a chef salad for my husband and he could not believe that there were just huge chunks of everything thrown on a take out container. Today was the last straw. I drove to get a greek salad to give them one more chance and this time it was missing the olives and the feta cheese go figure. It was literally a bed of large uncut lettuce, humongous slices of green bell peppers, gigantic cucumbers, and huge chunks of onions with the chicken just thrown in (what kind of greek salad is that)!. Then I call and they seem almost apologetic but then someone calls back and says "your only coming to get the feta cheese and olives right". This is my last time going to this establishment. They are popular in the Georgetown DE area, but somewhere along the popularity they forgot that customer service and quality food is a must always. Especially when someone like me is ordering and trying to have lunch before back to back meetings. I am so disappointed that i wasted my time...

This is a hard review to write. The food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS!!! We’ve had their bagels and cream cheese, breakfast egg platters, fresh made sandwiches, and baked goods. Our family has tried a little bit of everything from J & J Bagels. The staff is ALWAYS FRIENDLY, KIND, and HARDWORKING. The physical building inside is the exact opposite. It is beyond dirty! It is filthy! It has baked on dust, dirt, and grime. Dead bugs, live flies, baked on cooking grease covers the surfaces, dirty floors, windows, doors. This place is always busy and keeping the business clean would be such an improvement. If there is no time to clean during the open hours then maybe the solution is to clean after closing. There is dust, dirt, dead flies, and grime on literally every surface. While we enjoy the food and staff the less than clean atmosphere is super off putting. Clean up and do better...

I used to go to this Bagel Shop every week if not several times a week. Since the Owner died and his wife took it over she has turned it into a Hispanic eatery. WE have one of those two doors down. But even though the food has changed so much it doesn't even taste the same. The girls at the counter are Hispanic and that is perfectly fine except they never get my order right or fix the food with quality. I would not suggest to go to this place due to the quality has been drove to the ground. Get it together and I will come back. Maybe run your business and stop allowing non English speaking people fix American food that clearly need to get educated on how. Bagels burnt and sandwiches all wrong. 5x in a row. Sorry but I cannot handle that...
