Pretty good food! Excellent hummus and pita. I got the chicken kabobs, and that was similarly tasty! Everything was well-seasoned (that's coming from someone who is obsessive about seasonings - too many things we eat are bland), and I felt it was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was pretty cool, and definitely unique. I did not go into the bathrooms, so I can't speak for their cleanliness. I do know that the waitress was kind and I think all of our orders came back correct, which is always a good sign. She even told us when we tried to order something that had a much longer cook time than the other dishes already ordered. We were in a large group, and it was nice to know that if we ordered that dish we wouldn't be served all at the same time. The few weird things about this place were fairly small. For one thing, you cannot order tap water. For some reason, only bottled water is available if you want water. This is annoying because it means that there is no free drink option, and ordering water is a hassle. It was a little dumb and felt like a weird attempt to force patrons into spending a bit more money. Not sure if there was some other reason the tap water wasn't available, because we were given no explanation. The method of payment was also a little strange for larger groups, because you each go through the line at the front of the restaurant, after the meal, and say what you ordered, and then you pay individually. It took a little while to leave and just felt a little awkward. Wouldn't be an issue if there weren't multiple checks or a large group. Overall, good experience here that I recommend....
Read more4.5 stars to the chef cuz food is really good. But the customer service is so bad so that's why I gave two stars....the only time the waitress comes over to your table is when she first take your order after that she do not come over to check to see what else you want/need. I literally had to get up to place an order to go cuz she never came back to my table after hours(plus I tried to make eye contact several time and put my hand up to get her attention...didn't work) the girl really need to work on her customer service skill or they should just hire someone else that already has it. This was my third visit thinking it was just in my head the first two times but this visit did it for me cuz same issue...but the hookah guy is awesome he keep the coal change... hookah is good and prices are good...the girl's(waitress) customer service is the only issue.
Side note: The place wasn't busy so I don't know why she didn't have "time" to check on her customers (also I noticed that I wasn't the only one that noticed her bad customer service)
Thanks, hope you guys experience is better than my three...
Read moreIve been coming to this establishment for 4 years now and I’ve never had a single bad experience. The food is great and the hookah is even better. While other Hookah lounges charge for coals after 2 refills this place does no such thing. Flavor almost always lasts 1 and a half - 2 hours unlike other places where they’re hookah burns after 20-30 mins I can always count on Dijla to excel at the hookah experience. The servers here are very helpful towards picking the food or hookah flavor here for all the new customers coming in all the while making the regulars feel welcomed every time they return. If hookah is not what you’re into Dijla also offers amazing food selections for people who wish to dine in. What I love especially is that unlike most lounges Dijla offers very spaced out sitting with theirs booths and tables especially great for people who are still practicing safe distancing due to Covid. And lastly the atmosphere is very cultural offering a vast selection of music that plays as well as the make over they had recently. Overall...
