As a former restaurant manager, I was appalled at the way I was treated by management this weekend. I had been here once before and they messed up my order but the food was decent so I thought Iâd give them a try again and see if they were any better this time. I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and a chance to do it right. I called and ordered 2 orders of nachos and asked to have my chips, sour cream, and cheese on the side. The first woman I gave my order to could not understand English that well, so she handed the phone to another woman who I gave my order to who barely spoke English either, Finally after repeating the order around 7 or 8 times to this woman, they put someone else on the phone who spoke better English and seemed to understand what I wanted. I get there and I ask them if my cheeses are included, she says âyes.â Last time they forgot my cheeses so I thought I better check so I donât get all the way home like last time. I checked and they had poured the cheeses all over the lettuce and tomato and meat, when I specifically asked for them on the side smh. So messing orders up is apparently a regular thing. I went in and a woman who said sheâs the manager told me thatâs how they make them. I explained to her that I ordered it on the side. She argued with me that I didnât. This went on for over 5 mins where she went back and forth with me about what I ordered. I told her maybe there was miscommunication as I already had to talk to 3 different people to place my order. She insisted I was wrong and that I ordered it that way. I insisted I didnât and I asked her to fix it. I just had a stomach operation and I have to have all my stuff separate and my husband doesnât like his lettuce and tomatoes swimming in hot, runny cheese. She refused to fix it. I asked for the manager and she stated she WAS the manager. So I asked for my money back and then politely asked her âSo as a manager, you would rather lose the money and a customer who just spent another $45 with you last week instead of just fixing the order?âShe said âYes!â She actually said she would rather lose the money AND the customer! I was shocked at the treatment I got, that they would treat their customers that way and that this woman was yelling at me in front of all their customers. She was getting loud and people were literally looking at us from their tables. Very unprofessional, rude, terrible customer service. They have no idea how to run a business. All they had to do was make the food like I ordered it but she refused. Unbelievable. The owner needs to get some better staff in there that knows how to deal with the public. They will never get my business again and Iâll be sure to do a review on all my social media platforms about my...
Read moreNow mind you. I went on a week day I believe a Monday after football practice. Our regular spot when we arrived they were closing in 10 minutes . WHAT! It was like 830. We have seen this place for the last 4 years and just never stopped in but this particular evening. It was late we were all tired and hungry so we gave it a shot. Wow. It was clean open until 10pm and empty. But the music was authentic and the space inviting. Now we are a habitual family and was open to a new Mexican spot but skeptical. We didn't look at reviews we were just decent place to sit and eat. We were so pleasantly surprised! The food presentation was very very nice. I wanted to eat it very badly. The taste amazing, no really amazing . It taste like somebody's mother was in the kitchen just putting her all into it. 3 separate dishes and we were all pleased. Our waitress lovely she explained everything, it was our first time there so we had questions. Well it was better than our spot we had been so loyal to all these years. We will likely not go back to our old spot. It had gotten crowded, service at 50%. Might as well do a drive through. Sure they have live music and huge TVs. But we embody great food and service first. Then of course the rest, cleanliness, and atmosphere. That place we had gone less and less to. Now we are thrilled to give El Fogon Cantina...
Read moreTerrible service and never seem to get it right. I had 2 bad experiences here. 1st time wasnât as bad as the next time I went which was absolutely awful. First experience: I ordered 2 nacho dinners and a couple tacos and as their menu states they give you an 8 oz of cheese dip with your nachos. I picked it up, got all the way home and saw they didnât put my cheese dips in there (they came in containers) which is a huge ingredient and pretty much the point of the nachos. Itâs like a runnier cheese dip.If you want it melted on there like most places do nachos, you have to pay $3.99 extra. Pretty expensive to add cheese to something that should already have cheese. So I was ok with the queso style cheese on the side and not paying $4.00 more. I called and they acknowledged that they had forgotten my cheese dips. I had to drive all the way back to get it and leave my hungry husband to wait even longer to go get what should have been in there after we payed $45.00 for our meal. I went in grabbed it and went back home: the food itself wasnât bad. The experience for that to be my first time wasnât cool though. Wait till you hear about my most recent time which was approximately a week later. I was treated so bad by their manager. Iâll leave it on the next review as I really tried to give these people a chance and...
