I debated for a week as to whether it would be worth my while to write a review. I know, my standards can be pretty high, but l can be somewhat forgiving, because sometimes not everything goes well every time. But this experience just pressed all my buttons, so I decided to briefly summarize here. First visit to this location? Near perfect and the sandwiches were delicious. All female staff filled the order quickly and expertly.
But last week's visit? Oh man...
Staff not all wearing masks, cut the sandwiches despite explicit instructions not to, tasteless sandwiches with little to no toppings (lettuce and tomato saprsely provided), one sandwich roll was extremely moldy, only 3 pickles for 7 sandwiches, "Three Stooges" vibe of the all male staff...
Overall criticism of the chain is the seemingly intentional design of a high counter to prevent customers being able to see what is happening while they are preparing the food, most other chains tend to be a lot more transparent in that respect.
All these things and more being the exact opposite of my first visit there 3 weeks prior.
Permanently off my list; if I could give zero or negative stars, l would. Next time l will try the 'other guys' over at JMs; it can't be possible that they would do worse.
Following lukewarm response from FHS, and then seeing other reviews, have decided to vote with my $$$ and never visit any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur company orders $120 per month with a single order. Today I walked in 5 min after the pickup time that was scheduled yesterday. Nobody said hello and instead I had to listen 4 employees complain about the day and their work. After 5 minutes standing near the pickup order sign and having 2-3 emplyees walk within a few feet of me without saying anything, I figured out that I had to get in line to get anyone to say anything. The person was not polite. I told him I was there to pickup an order. He said, "Name?" I would've prefered, "May I have your name please" or something reasonable polite. After a minute he said the order was not ready and would be ready soon. It was now 10 min past the pick up time. When I asked how long it would take I was told 5 - 10 min. No apology or excuse was offered. When I expressed frustration the person was quick to offer a refund, which I accepted.
When I came back to the office with food from Chic Fil A (always freindly), my manager explained that the same thing happened a month ago when he picked up at the same Firehouse Subs location. We will definately not be ordering from them again. It doesn't take any effort to be nice, and the employees there need some training in how to act around customers. I had the feeling the person who offered the refund was the manager or owner. This is a very poorly run...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook my daughter to Sandy Plains for her 1st ever Firehouse Subs Sandwich experience. I explained to her the differences between other sandwich shops (that shall not be named) and Firehouse. Explained how it started and what it represents. She thought it was interesting. Now...when she took the 1st bite into the Smokehouse C&B her face said it all! She was BLOWN away. She said it was so good. It is now her favorite place to go.
However! I WILL NOT be taking her back to this location. Pulled up to see 2 of the employee smoking in front of the store and had to explain to my 12 yo that they were taking a smoke break, but usually employees do it out back not right in front of the customers. Next...staff was very "blah" about being there. I get it, BUT IT'S YOUR JOB! Lastly...I noticed that each employee spent a lot of time on their cell phones instead of working. Come on now.
Well below the expectations Fireshouse has set for me with service in the past. Tighten up FHS on Sandy...
