Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

It's just sickening to me how racism exist in 2016. My daughter and I went to this Waffle House this morning for breakfast. I pulled in they were busy like any other Waffle House. There was a wait list, so I put my name on it, the hostess asked if I wanted a booth. I said the booth will be good for us. There was another couple in front of me a table came ava. and she sat them down. Then a caucasian family of five came into the Waffle House. There was two men who had finished eating, and gotten up from the booth. The hostess cleaned the booth and told the ppl. beside me to come on and she sat them in the booth. I got up out my chair, and looked at the list she had sitting on the table. I wanted to make sure my name hadn't been removed off. It was there and under it there was a name Bailey & 5 for ppl. in the party. I confronted the hostess, and asked her why did she sit them when I was next. She looked at me very nonchalant, and said sorry. I said you know I was next, and they just walked in after I waited for 30 min. She said Oh! you'll be next. like this family if more important than yours. (The look she gave me like why are you here talking to me). I told her that was unacceptable. I took my daughter by the hand and we left. NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN!!!! Let me say this to anybody that's reading this message. We have to do better by other's of a different race. This type of behavior should NEVER be acceptable!! The message she sent me and everyone in this restaurant is that it's ok to treat ppl. indifferent because of the color of their skin. To the owners of this establishment this wasn't the first time she did this, she was very comfortable with how she spoke to me. I never disrespected her, not once did I yell or scream at her. Just know I want be back, and after I post & talk to my FB, Twitter, Instagram followers & speak to my church family neither will they. I always treat ppl. like I want to be treated. ( YOU NEVER KNOW A PERSON'S CONNECTIONS)! This business will never prosper as long as ppl. like her is there! Oh! I went to the Waffle House on Roswell Rd. & Greenbriar Pkwy Marietta. They was rolling out the red carpet for all that enter there fine establishment white, black, mexican, chinese. Thumbs up to WH Roswell Rd. the food was AWESOME!!!!...

Okay my 3rd review- this Waffle House was super clean. I just left time change Sunday at 545am all three employees Tracy, Steven, and postive Penny were all super nice upbeat Penny knew her menu. Made new suggestions. Tracy cooked my meal fast correct and fresh. Steven was still cleaning. There is another location close on canton rd connector. Do not bother going there. It is never clean. And they are never happy to see you. It doesn’t matter if they are busy or dead or what time you come. Sandy Plains is one of the best waffle houses

Okay this is my second review- I have been here 3 times in the past month late night. And it has been spotless! I’m not exaggerating very clean. Also the staff is awesome. Servers Cesare and Nick are awesome. Crystal is the best cook. I’ve been here with Jimmy cooking too. He’s great as well. It was really slow one time and they were still so upbeat. If you are hungry late night come here because it is good food with great service. Especially during these times when service and even being open for business is hard to come by. I am a regular now just because of the staff and everything good on point and super clean in here!

just ordered take out from here sunday night 1145pm. michael took our order and John was the cook. i was so impressed with the customer service from michael. and john the cook prepared my omelette perfectly. i ordered egg white omelette with cheese tomatoes mushrooms onions. and all the veggies were fresh and the omlette wasn't greasy. i really believe the cook at every waffle house makes the difference and he is a great one. and michael obviously knows how to take an order with accuracy because i special ordered ingredients and directions. And they were right on. i highly recommend ordering at this location over the other waffle houses...

Today I decided to give this location another try after a horrible experience about six months ago. Sadly, not much has improved.

We came in around 11 AM on a Sunday. It wasn’t busy at all, which gave me hope that things might go smoothly with plenty of staff on hand. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

My partner ordered a coffee, which arrived lukewarm and tasted extremely old — definitely not fresh. We were very hungry, so we placed our food orders quickly after being seated.

My daughter ordered the kids’ egg breakfast with toast and hashbrowns. We specifically asked for the eggs to be scrambled with cheese. Instead, what arrived was a fried egg with cheese slapped on top, then chopped into squares — not even close to what you’d expect from Waffle House’s cheese eggs.

I ordered the patty melt plate and was even asked by the waitress if I wanted onions on the sandwich. I said yes, and also requested whole wheat bread. The sandwich came with no onions at all, despite being asked directly.

My partner ordered cheesy eggs, and again, no cheese. We had to send it back. At that point, it was clear this meal was a complete disappointment.

There were plenty of staff and the restaurant wasn’t busy, so I really can’t understand how things went so wrong. Unfortunately, this visit confirmed that we won’t be returning. I hope management takes these issues seriously — because customers deserve better, especially when the basics are...
