Georgia Potato Factory — Restaurant in Georgia

Today is 11/3. I called this location over 14 times beginning at 5:29pm. I received no answer. They close at 6pm. There’s nothing on their website or their IG about not answering the phone after 5:30pm on Sunday. That’s the problem with small businesses. They make up their own rules when it’s convenient to whomever is managing the place at that time. Then they expect for people to still come back and patronize their business and spend their hard earned money. The person working this evening wasn’t doing anything when I came in and proceeded to tell me the Alfredo sauce was frozen. She said it would take a minute to defrost. I said okay. I have a minute. She repeated that it would take a minute to defrost and she can’t make it. I proceeded to tell her how this was horrible customer service and how I had been calling for quite some time as she stood right there and let the phone ring. She turned her back and didn’t care. Simply answering the phone would have saved me time, gas and a heart break. I didn’t eat all day and my mouth was watering for a potato. But she proceeded to make food for a family of 4. My potato could’ve been getting prepped for her to make it.

A man who I assume is the owner made my potato 2 weeks ago and baby it was bussin! It was seasoned and he used fresh ingredients. The chicken and broccoli Alfredo potato with bacon was everything. I have been recommending this place to my whole family.

I placed an order for 2 Potatoes online, this is my second time visiting this franchise, I originally went to the one further down Tara Blvd in Jonesboro. I went to pick up my order only to find out they didn't have anymore pulled pork left so I had to order a different Potato. I ordered the shrimp, chicken and broccoli Potato as a replacement. Got my ordered and drove home, when I got home to start eating my Potato, it only had Chicken, Broccoli and cheese with NO Shrimp at all 👀 I tried to call the restaurant only to get a recorded voice message that tells you to hang up and call back if it's normal business hours to place your order, I did this several times only to have to leave a message because no live person answered the phone. I was hoping this didn't happen because I understand that no two restaurant even under the same franchise have the exact same service, but it was a bit extreme. I was very disappointed and I will not go back to this location, I'll stick with the one I know had the better performance. While my husband enjoyed his Buffalo Chicken Potato, my Chicken, Broccoli and cheese Potato minus the SHRIMP was nothing compared to the taste and quality of the one I had from the Jonesboro location further down Tara. Waste of my time and money! Came back home for the weekend to visit my family for the new year weekend and was staaaarving for something new. My sister told me about this amaaaazing spot that I needed to try and I'll fall in love with it and it's something new to my tastebuds. So I decided to give the potato factory a try. Walk in and the light skin guy behind the counter had an I DONT WANT TO BE HERE ATTITUDE and his customer service reflected it!!! He asked have we been there before and I said no and he replied with OH OK He ask me did I need salt, pepper or anything else I said sure he replied with GET IT YOURSELF I get my food and it was not what I expected so I proceeded to giving it a taste!!! I got the Philly Cheesesteak potato. Very good size, very big BUT the cheese and "steak" was thrown on the potato. It was VERY DRY! He didn't put butter on it or anything. I feel like they could mix everything together BETTER but then again that goes back to customer service and how the guy act like he didn't want to be there and didn't want people to come get a potato...

My first time experience was terrible and I will not be returning nor will I recommend!!! Get a better staff with better customer service!!!
