DO NOT GO TO DANI!!
Last week, I traveled to ATL and decided - after reading glowing reviews about Dani - to go against my norm, and go to an unfamiliar nail salon. It was an AWFUL experience.
Here's the breakdown.
Had appt at 1pm w/ Dani for dip powder nails.
1:05 Arrived to the shop.
Dani was doing nails but it was clear she was almost finished so I waited.
1:17 Got started, Dani instructed me to soak my nails in a bowl full of acetone and "rub" my nails against a paper towel - a first time experience for me. Dani tells me to soak and "it'll be a few minutes."
1:30 Dani talks to another guest and then proceeds to start a FULL SET w/tips on a young girl w/ very short nails.
1:45 I asked Dani - as I sat and soaked my nails in pure acetone which is awful for healthy nails - if she planned to do a full set as I sat and "soaked"
Dani replied " what do you expect me to do - just sit and wait while you soak"!
Fast forward, I removed my hands from the acetone after sitting in that for nearly 15 mins. I scrubbed the rest of myself - paid the $16 and left.
I will never ever again go to this unprofessional disgusting place. I expected Dani to have the basic ability to properly manage appointments OR the basic communication skills to answer my question w/clarity as an operational business and put care and service OVER the bottom line.
Instead when questioned, she opted to speak in her native language to a colleague after being clear with her English about not wasting her time "waiting" while I soak. Her original directive of my needing to soak for a "few minutes" quickly turned into 15 minutes w/ her brash arrogance that her behavior was acceptable because it's likely her behavioral norm.
If you want a rushed and inconsiderate experience with zero care for the vitality of your nails and cuticles, but you find more value in a great nail "design", then this is your place.
Stop going to shops where the brown faces only sit on ONE side of the chair and aren't BEHIND the cash register!!!

Read moreWell, I was a first time customer to this nail salon. My pedicure was great!! However, I met the owner Dani one time and the last time! She was rude when I asked her to help me choose a nail color. I asked for a Seafoam color.
She handed me blue colors? Lol! You don't know the difference between blue and a shade of green? Wow! I gave her the blue colors back and she said, "well, you asked me for different colors, so this is what I have."
I asked for a shade of green! Another lady next to me asked her for pink and red colors, and she behaved the same way. It was like she wanted us to pick the color she wanted, so she could collect the money faster. She was just unpleasant! By the way, the nails were too thin and uneven!
Another lady walked in that day and told Dani her nails chipped/cracked after one week?! I saw Dani work on this person's nails and the nails were also not even! She thickened some nails and others were thin?! I have found another nail salon and told that owner about Dani's salon. That owner said Dani's salon does not know what they are doing, rushing and the nails are cracked due to poor processes!
Atlanta is a big city!! Please spend your money elsewhere! This is just another poor attitude and money only mindset Cambodian nail salon!!!!!
*New Edit:
First off, you don't know me or my personality! I get along with many other salons! I did not have free time! I was multi-tasking! I work just like you do for a living!
That is how I paid you! I don't hold up other people's time....That is your excuse not to work on my nails correctly! My nail review is similar to other customers reviews! God Bless and save you! Kisses...
Read moreIf you are looking for a new nail shop this not the place!!!! Poor customer service. Their price list says $25 for kids 10 and under however they did not honor that for my daughter. She is 10 and 5'3 1/2 ft tall and the owner questioned her age which was understandable based on her height however he then proceeded to make a comment about her size under his breath. Then one of the nail techs said will if she cant sit in the kids chair the price does not include her. Wth your list does not say that anywhere and she is tall but slim and can fit in the chair with no problem but was never asked to sit there. It is not about the cost is was their smuge attitude and the way they handled the situation. She is a young black princess who will be treated as one at all time and I will not allow him or anyone else to not treat her as such. So the owner replied to the post then turned off replies so Im adding to my post I have all day. Sir now you are trying to say u offered me a discount why would you and I never asked for one I just asked to be charged the price listed. Also you never mentioned anything else I said in the post because everything I said is true. You are truly showing your lack of integrity. You made comments about a child and I have a problem with it. Dont start a conversation and not be man enough to finish it. The proper professional thing to do would have to simply apologize. Also let me please add that he decide to offer a discount after he and the other nail techs were sitting in the shop discussing the fact that I did this post while still standing...
