First time having Hyderabad type food and what an experience! In order of my favorites, here’s what we had:
Inside of the restaurant was clean. 2 tables so probably best used as a takeout place.
We can’t wait to try more! This was a great first experience and reasonably priced for the portion size. We had leftovers of the 3 dishes and we can...

I really enjoyed the conversation! Sorry to say I nor my family enjoyed the food at all. The butter chicken sauce was thin and flavorless, the chicken in it was dry and hard. The Chicken 65 was chewy and tossed in some kind of brown sauce that was not to our liking. Other places I've had it it's only ever been breaded and fried crisp accompanied by grilled onions and jalapenos. The wings were chewy baked in a sweet sauce. The rice was under cooked and hard. The naan was over cooked, dry and hard with bittered garlic. The mango lassi was ok and the gajar ka halwa was actually pretty good. All told we didn't a little over and $60 and threw most of it away. Maybe it's a regional Indian preparation thing I'm unfamiliar with but I've had a lot of Indian food all over the continent and usually like these dishes. I REALLY wanted to like this place given how close it is to home. Back to Shalimar Kabob...

Atmosphere: A couple of tables, chairs, service counter, bathroom, and that’s it. It’s a typical hole in the wall restaurant, aesthetic-wise.
Service: Orders take a long time to be ready, even when you call ahead. If quoted 30 minutes - be there at 45 minutes. Your food will just be coming out.
Food: This is where everything changes. The food is absolutely amazing. Great taste, great spicing, and good portions. I was honestly blown away by the food. I’ve eaten at many Indian/Pakistani restaurants in the Atlanta metro area over the 28 years that I’ve lived in Georgia, and I can honestly say that this place makes one of the best iterations of desi food. Succulent, delicious, fresh, and will keep you wanting more, especially the entrees. The naan is okay (Naan and Curry, Mughals, and a few others do it better), the daal darkha slightly over-salted, but the dishes that count (entrees) are perfect. Try it out - you will not be...
