Every now and then, even after almost 13 years in Atlanta, I come across a spot that is a hidden gem and babeeeeeeeee⦠Not only is Jackās New York Deli a hidden gem, however, it is the definition of GOOD FOOD!
I came across Jackās New York Deli as my little sister wanted to try it as she was on her journey for a Good Pastrami sandwich. Though we donāt live anywhere near, we chose a day and went for lunch.
Jackās New York Deli sits off a Main Street, however, itās tucked off in the corner. Pay attention to your GPS because if you blink too hard, you may pass it. LoL.
Walking in, the establishment is super clean. The all glass front provides an ample source of natural light, and they even have patio seating if you choose to enjoy the weather in full. With a traditional sub shop setup, I took a moment to review the menu, then headed to the counter to place my order.
With an abundance of choices, it was soooooooooooooo hard not to order every sandwich that I loved. šššš Yet, with keeping my summer body (ha) in mind, I decided on the Chicken Club and a Salad with extra Feta.
Baaaaaabyyyyyyyyyy. Wow. All I can say is, Jackās New York Deli understood the assignment. Quality meat. Fresh fixings. Great portions. Crisp salad. And an amazing dressing.
Iām talking a true HIT. Nothing, and I do mean NOTHING was a miss.
The chicken club presented a moist and perfectly golden boneless breast. Juicy tomato. Crisp lettuce. And, perfectly buttered white bread⦠This sandwich was bite after bite of robust flavor and texture perfection. Paired with the slice of pickle, the chicken club is a true 10/10.
The salad was simple yet still above standard. The ingredients were all fresh and nothing was soggy. The salad wasnāt just thrown on the plate, however, appeared to be blended as a salad should and paired with the right amount of dressing for the size of the salad. Another 10/10.
Last but not least, the service at Jackās New York Deli was spot on. I was greeted upon entry and the staff was engaging and friendly as I placed my order. At this point weāre three for three: Food, Cleanliness, and Service. A total WIN!!!!!!
Though I live on the other side of town, donāt be surprised if you see me at Jackās New York Deli. Iām on a mission to taste the entire menu. šššš„°
Until next time, Jackās New York Deli thank you for my food...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am very disappointed⦠My family asked where I wanted to go to lunch for this Fatherās Day and I replied, Jackās New Yorker Deli, so we all got in the car and drove 20mins down from Kennesaw. Iāve been going to Jackās ever since the Vinnings days, my favorite sandwich place ever! After todayās experience it will be a long time before I return to Jackāsā¦. We arrived just before noon to beat the crowd, when entering I noticed the place wasnāt looking that greatā¦. dirt and grime on the floors and the tables didnāt look clean at all. But what really shocked me and the reason for this post is what I saw back by the food prep area. I noticed their health score sheet hanging on the wall and someone had purposefully covered up their health score number of 86ā¦. with this gift card sign! Iām not happy with a health score of 86 but what really upsets me and the reason for this post is that they were purposefully concealing this health score from their customers! Not only do I believe this to be illegal, but it shows how this establishment chooses to run the business. š”
I will respond to the owner- If you really want me to believe this card was placed exactly over your health score of 86 the entire time we were there for āanother staff member running a gift cardā then you might as well sell me some overpriced insurance that I donāt need, because you must think Iām an idiotā¦. And I see in your response to me you failed to explain the actual health score of 86, care to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been going to breakfast on Sunday mornings for several years now. Ever since the new owner took over slowly the staff quality and food quality started going downhill to the point where this morning was the worst ever. We pretty much paid 30 dollars for swill. The toast must be made up ahead of time due to the fact it comes out cold making spreading butter and jelly on it impossible. The bacon was burnt to a crisp, the over medium eggs came out one step over being raw. The potatoes were not only burnt but so loaded down with salt after just one bite my mouth is still screaming for water a couple of hours later. You must ask for real silverware or they will give you plastic which is useless. And on top of that you never know how much youāre going to pay. You go one Sunday and itās a certain price, you go the next Sunday get the same thing and itās 7 dollars more. Go back following and itās 7 dollars less. If you try to ask why there is such a change in prices every week you just get this strange look from the cashier mumbling UH and then asking you to repeat your order. I have hesitated to write a review thinking it is just a one off each week, but it does nothing but keeps getting worse. I really donāt know where all these good reviews are coming from that I see because I sure as heck havenāt experienced anything like that in a long time now when going for Sunday Breakfast. This will probably be the...
