I gave 5 stars for the service because thatās really the only reason I keep coming back is because of the waitress thatās is there. her name is Tay thatās what I call her anyway. the management could use some help. most are kids that act entitled, even if they give not so great service in their minds they showed up.so they deserve a tip just for that.. they hire a lot of managers who couldnāt get stuff animal to act right. much less some entitled young adults /middle aged adults etc you can request no peppers or onions or whatever but trust me if you are allergic you better tell them cause they are just picking out what you didnāt want. why? idk but I canāt count the times I found a i donāt want in my food. and when I explain to them they could cause someone real problem the reply is normally oh well most tell us if they are allergic. smh. the kitchen does what they want . as well as most of the managers and servers. if Tay is not there I usually donāt go. because the two times I have, ended badly. and PSA fajitas should be steaming when they get to the table just my two cents spend it where you want. but if you want to have a pleasant experience ask for Tay she will make sure your food is right. hire a manager that can hold their own⦠trust me I was in the business 25 plus years and if one of mine got caught picking out a pepper or onion I would have lost it. I couldnāt be in this business today. to many jerks in the industry. back years ago the waitress/waiters ran the show. seems like today the cook is god. and can do whatever.. but they all expected to take a percentage of those tips at the end of the night⦠which is wrong. across the board! the only ones that should get any of the tips should be the table cleaners or bar back. everyone else is or should be making minimum wage. and well you always tip your table cleaners and bar backs so they work harder for you. not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTruly the worst experience I have EVER had at a restaurant. Was 20 minutes before we received our drinks(till then we literally had straws). 2 of them were wrong. 45 minutes before we placed our order, which btw he literally began to collect menus and walk away before taking my GFs order!) At one point someone asked for a cup of ice(because the sweet tea had melted all the ice in my friends cup) we literally asked for it 3 times and then he brought out another sweet tea, my friend said "she asked for a cup of ice..." he just pointed to the cup of sweet tea(again very little ice left in it) my friend responded "thats not a cup of ice..." We then did not see that waiter again, 20 minutes later a different waiter took over and she was much better at her job and infinity more polite. When the food came one customer didnt receive food(btw we received food at the 1 hr 15 minute mark) it was another 15 minutes before she got her food which apparently was not put in. When we asked the nice second server if the other server was new she said he had worked here awhile just had to many tables(how he hasnt been fired is beyond me). We got our cards back literally 2 hrs and 10 minutes after we walked in the door. Fortunately we enjoy each others company. To not have a manager come and apologize and or offer comps for our insane time spent there was ridiculous. btw only 3 out of the 7 were impressed at all by their food. Also worth noting its really expensive for mexican food, most entrees are 10+ with drinks costing 2, typically dinner specials that include chili reyeno, burrito and taco would be about 8 here its 11. Friend ordered a cheese dip which was pretty tiny and apparently cost $5. A total disaster, I am sure we will laugh about it later but I would never step foot in that place again. experience happened 4/13/14 7:00-9:00...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have gone to la parilla for years. My family has had tons of family events, birthdays, and even some holidays planned here. Throughout the last few years this place has gone down hill. Last night, August 23rd, my family had dined in for dinner. When we sat down it took a good 10 minutes to even get chips or get a drink order. Normally chips come as soon as you sit on a busy night. Half the dinning area wasnāt even full last night. When we received our food my nachos had a hair wrapped around the chicken. A Dark black hair, which would not be me because I have blonde hair. Let along it was wrapped around the chicken so tight I couldnāt even get it off. I stopped eating and waited 15 minutes for our sever to come back finally so I could tell her. She noted she was going to talk to the manager and when he came over to our table he seemed as if he didnāt care making up excuses as in they wear hairnets when cooking, shaved faces, etc. He did not seem very concerned and not apologetic. I informed him that this is not but once, but twice Iāve found something in the past month in my food. (My previous time was takeout and found a bone in my chicken taco.) I informed him that I will no longer be dining here because every time I come something is wrong and nobody seems to care to bother to fix it. He would rather make up excuses then try to make the customer happy. I work in a restaurant and I know for a fact youād rather keep the business then make up excuses and let the people go and still pay for the food. The la parilla manager did not seem to care either way. This is not how a place should be ran. You should want to keep your customers no matter what. I will not return to la parilla, food is always messed up, service is slow, and management is...
