I don't know about everyone's tastebuds... but definitely there has to be some discussion on what is considered to be good because my most recent experience was dissatisfying for sure. Firstly, it's already the summertime. So when I walk into an establishment, I expect a cool atmosphere. As soon as I walked into the restaurant it was hot hot hot... And that immediately made me want to walk out of the door. But, I wanted to finish my experience so I stayed hoping for a better outcome. One nice thing is that the restaurant is definitely renovated and decorated to a T. Beautiful colors, pictures,.TV, games, you name it. This place has plenty of space for large groups, but I can't imagine a large group of people or even one or two people wanting to eat here consistently. Firstly, I asked for elotes, which they did carry, so that was satisfying. Then I asked for one taco because I wanted to give them a try out first before fully committing. When I got my food there was too much cheese on the elotes and too much tajin seasoning. Also, the corn was not tender. Secondly, when I opened my box for the taco, all of my toppings and the meat seemed to have rolled to the other side of the box. I don't know if the taco shell was fried too hard or what but the taco shell was laying flat in my box and all of the lettuce, tomatoes and everything was pushed to the side. Then the meat was unevenly chopped and looked like a bunch of steak mess which really turned my stomach. I don't know about the other items on the menu but for the items that I ordered today: definitely not. And the prices!! Waaaayyyy too expensive for the quality of food. My observations: come down on the prices for sure, follow some of the more popular restaurants in the area and their style of making tacos and preparing food. Not saying it has to be a copycat but there is a certain technique to good food and definitely to a good taco. Elotes is a simple dish, so please invest the time and possibly even advice on best preparation tips. And lastly ....?turn up the air...
Read moreUnfortunately this place is not what it used to be when it was owned or ran by the other family. The customer service has went down and so has the food. I ordered chicken birria tacos. They had zero flavor. They were stingy with the cilantro, onions, and cheese. On top of that, the taco shells were barely halfway full as you can see from my picture. I completely understand no longer having the condiment bar out to take as much sauce and veggies as you want, but they don't even give you the 2 oz little containers of salsa. The give you the little 1 oz. containers. Smh. This is NOT the spot to go to for birria tacos. I definitely...
